It might seem unlikely for overs to appoint a manager that is not from the UK, but over 1/4 of managers in the PL and EFL are not from the UK. This rises to 60% of premier league managers.
Just wondering whether we have the contacts (beyond Jordan and Kuwait) to attract a manager like Wörle or some of the others mentioned. From what was said by Hussain AlSaeed, I think it more likely to be someone closer to home. We could contact someone like Gary Penrice and tap into his knowledge and contacts for references. In a Bristol Post interview a few years back he said: "I also had my own scouting project, which is one of the biggest in Europe. And I do it all from home. I have never moved house in 27 years, and currently live in the Cotswolds, so not far away from Bristol." I don't think you necessarily need contacts to identify the man and then put feelers out to his agent and see if there is any interest. Works for Leeds now. Wouldn’t be allowed i suspect as it’s a conflict of interest

The more I think about it , the answer could be Leam Richardson , twice got Wigan promoted , first time around as assistant to Paul Cook
then as sole manager in 2022. A bad run in the Championship saw him sacked last November . Out of work since.
This being a realistic option , pie in the sky would be Pep

This being a realistic option , pie in the sky would be Pep Just the one good season at Wigan, he flopped in his first job at Accrington and then again in the Championship with Wigan, it's a similar record to BG, there must be a reason he's been out of work for virtually 12 months? Personally I'd stick with Mangan for the next couple of games, as if he can win both of those he may well be the best candidate for the job.

Pretty unfair comparing him to Garner ,the Accrington job was 2012 or 13 , his first stint , then his next managerial role was walking league one with Wigan.
In between , as I mentioned assistant to Cook in another Wigan promotion. Going on recent form in this league , impressive.
Certainly worth a punt.

Was Barton the football equivalent of a populist ? Make Gas great again . Get enough fans on your side to think that you’re going to change the landscape, take the club to the sunlit uplands . Even though it wasn’t happening and the results just didn’t back it up , you keep telling the fans that success is just around the corner. Things will come good , you just gotta believe. Then eventually and inevitably you get found out. Or am I talking about Brexit ? 😉

I feel like Holloway is an itch that we may just need to scratch just to put it to bed so he is not linked every time going forward. Once it’s over everyone can put it behind them and move on.
