Seems like nobody wants to take this on or maybe everyone is just distracted due to you know what.
I'm hoping for a display of unity today from the fans - we need to rally around the players and really show them our support.
Let's get a home win and then kick on.
3-1 Gas, Taylor to score.

The salty Cobblers making a first return to the hallowed turf since THAT afternoon, chants of “Bristol Rovers” still ringing in their ears from those little scamps up at Barrow & then Mansfield!
A goal in each half from Mangan’s Blue Boys💙
Martin & Collins to notch.

I really hope the Gasheads get behind the team and Andy Mangan today - we played some great football early in the season when he was in charge during Barton's ban - lets hope we do so again today. 5-0 to the Gas - Collins hatrick

Despite a subdued atmosphere the lads will come from behind to win 3-1.
Collins, Evans and Marquis.

Morning, Campers...
Whether you were Barton in camp, or out, or somewhere in between, many will be united for the first time in a long time as his previous custodians were controversial appo at the time.
Always tough opponents v Northampton. You know what to expect, a physical well organised outfit with a steady 3rd division mid table finish at best.
Hopefully, we should have the keys to unlock their defence and stay strong enough to not concede.
Gas 2-0. A more upbeat Mem. Maybe some recognised faces returning. Plenty of sauce to go with your chips...
Looking forward to this one, not the least because we have some special guests in our merry little band, and I hope Mangham can carry the ball like GC did in the spirit of play with just a tweak of playing Aaza more central and the offering of more goals.
It's the lunar eclipse later ... Hopefully we'll be 3 points better off by then. UptheGas!

BRFC HOME LEAGUE RESULTS
2023/24 SEASON
Played * 6
Win * 2
Draw * 3
Loss * 1
Draw, probably 1-1, seems likely.
Would like to win 7-0. Might not happen.

Can't be there today which is a shame because we're going to win 7-0

Can't be there today which is a shame because we're going to win 7-0 Rubbish. Suitably released from "keep ball" for 65 minutes, like fawns in a fresh spring field, we will jump around to an 8-0 win. Obviously

Chance for Mangs.
People often forget football should be in the entertainment business.
I know Joey disliked 4-4-2 so I would go the whole hog and go 4-2-4 and widen the pitch again.
Cox Hoole Crama, Taylor, Gordon Bogarde Grant Sinclair Marquis Collins Vale
Yes Collins up front.
Gordon has shown flashes (see what I did there!) of attacking intent. Did he turn inside (or back) after he beat the first man because it was natural to him, or because Joey wanted him to just pass to Finley? If he attacked the opposite full back it could give Vale more space.
Tough call Evans or Sinclair but Scott has a point to prove and often ghosts into the area.
So many times this season when the wide men break the lines, there is only one (or none) in the box, so they have to stop and play the ball back. Big Jon will get in there and if he doesn't get the ball will cause a nuisance so the defenders get distracted and Collins and Sincs or Vale can have chances.
Play players in their right positions, attack, entertain, shoot and score. This football lark is easy.

I Think we’ll play well and win by two or three goals today. Heavy rain coming in for around kick off time so bring a coat.

Just about to set off, looking forward to the game. What I am not looking forward to is the two 20mph speed protests in their two convoys to the Severn bridge today. No doubt will cause chaos on the M4 today.

I'm not sure what to expect today, as has been said, Mangan did well the first Three games but he was just filling in for JB, it's a very different scenario now so I'm glad that Whelan is involved as well, hopefully he will keep Mangan focused on the job in hand.

Realy dont know what the reaction/ result will be today , hopefully the lads put in a shift for Mangs.
A 1-1 draw , is what I've gone for , but in reality we need a win to move away from the bottom third.
New start now , good luck AM , UTG
