That's supposed to be the case, but some people decided not to go because of the manager. I have a very close friend who stopped going because he witnessed domestic violence towards his Mother as a child, it’s not all black and white. Why did he stop going though? Because of the manager? I'd be willing to bet there's plenty of fans in our crowd who continued to go who also witnessed domestic violence as children. I'll even go as far as to predict that we've got fans who commit domestic violence and have been victims of it. It's not black and white at all.

I don’t know where those who were saying there were plenty of gaps stand but I’d love to know where they do because it was bordering on dangerous where I stand on the east terrace. Not sure if it’s linked but an elderly gent had a fall I think after one of the goals. Note : hope he’s well. I stand on the thatchers pretty much right behind the goalmouth near pillar three , slightly to the right of that , there was enough room to swing a cat. Plenty of space.

I was standing about 4 feet away and I think he was ok - there were quite a few St John’s paramedic types in attendance and I think he got taken out in a wheelchair.

Season ticket holders are now counted for some reason so if it's p'ing down like yesterday and they decide to stay at home in the dry they are still counted, not sure why clubs can't post net & gross numbers.

Nice one. So you are suggesting that the owners offered to pay more VAT on the attendance income, just to prove a point? Are you suggesting that attendance printed on the BBC or read over the tannoy, is what goes through the books? I've been in that ground unable to breath and attendance figures have blatantly been fudged in the past. It can work both ways no doubt. And btw, I have no idea about yesterday's attendance other than there were loads of gaps-room for a lot more people. The Blackthorn end was heaving. Noticeably more people than at any other time this season. Maybe those that boycotted due to JB being sacked were season ticket holders? That would be quite funny.

Or trying to shelter from the rain in the open parts of the ground?

Nice one. So you are suggesting that the owners offered to pay more VAT on the attendance income, just to prove a point? Ticket sales and literal people attending are two different things. True, I can understand that. However, I don't think you can argue with the ticket sales figure of 8518 being higher than any ticket sales figure so far this season.

Pretty busy around us on the East, every other part of the stadium looked pretty packed. Thatchers End is always a sound indicator of higher attendances, was busy from left to right, back to front.

There was plenty of space in the blackthorn near the family enclosure. The east terrace was pretty much empty in the second half.

That's always been the case because that seat has been sold and accounted for. Why would the club not count a sold ticket just because someone didn't turn up?

The covered area was tight packed. Can people negotiate their way into the blackthorn at HT? The open part of East was very sparse after the break.

Likely they were all still in the bar and didn’t bother coming back out, straight away anyway. we dived in on 45mins and it was already heaving.

I was chatting to a season ticket holder before the game who said he has boycotted due to Barton. He said even he was doubting his twisted logic on that one lol

I said to my friend before the game that the queue for the Gas Grill was smaller than I had seen it, so I predicted a low attendance. How wrong I was.

Correct OG I was actually in the Thatchers minding my own business, when I was struck on the back of the head by a large black and white cat. Almost dropped my sausage roll.
