Cox 6 - Distribution not great at times.
Grant 4 - woeful at RB
Wilson 4- Not match fit surprised he started
Taylor 7 - Won everything in the air thankfully
Friend. 5 - Some positive passing but caught out for pace
Findley 5 - Not a Captain - Not top half L1
Woods 3 - Truly awful - again no idea his he starts tonight
Thomas 6 - tried to get us moving
Martin 6 - No real support but take goal really well
Collins 5 - chaotic with no end product
Brown 4 - Added nothing deservedly subbed
Subs …
Bogarde 5 - did what Woods couldn’t- tackled and distributed
Marquis 5 - needs to understand off side rule but always puts in a shift
Vale 6 - Changed the game and excellent assist
Crama 5 - looked ok
Gibbons NLE but could have cost us at the end

More negatives than positives for Mangan there.
Did he really think that tactic with that side was going to work in the first half ?
Has he not been either in charge or assistant at every one of our games this season ?!!
Better second half , more tempo etc and we score but then for a while thomas and vale switched sides which killed the momentum we were building !
Who’s idea was that ffs .
That was too much like a Barton performance for my liking and hasn’t done anything for me in terms of wanting Mangan permanently.
Still, he’s unbeaten so not the end of the world but all in all a disappointing night.
A few other thoughts ..
Collins needs a sports psychologist I reckon he just rarely looks interested , what on earths wrong with him.
Brown has technical ability but is lazy , woods has great vision but needs to be in a midfield 3 or not at all and needs to have people running in to space to allow him to pass forwards which neither Collins or Brown did tonight and rarely have this season.
Cox no better than Belshaw at saving shots or his distribution.
Grant not a right back in fact I don’t think he’s league 1 standard in any position I’ve seen him play.
Tika taka does not work in league 1 and we’ll never get even in the top 10 let alone the play offs playing that way with these players.
We need to start Vale one side and Thomas the other and play the ball quickly to these players and we can cause problems but until we do that we’ll be closer to the drop than promotion.

Not sure who else could have started with Evans suspended and Sinclair missing? Possibly Marquis over Martin but not sure that would have made much difference. Didnt Barnsley play Thomas in the centre behind the striker(s) ? Well we may as well play him there as we have two very good number 10’s but play them mostly on the wings.A points a point I suppose but must be much better than tonight to do anything this season. |

Central midfield is the main issue. I also thought AC should have played moreso for the team. I thought it was a mistake to take off Martin and get the wingers to swap sides just as we were looking like the team to win.

Yeah Collins has become lazy off the ball , still exciting once he’s got it but he’s not trying hard to receive it. The switch of wingers just as we looked like we were going to go on and win was bizarre and completely killed our momentum , they did change back in the last few minutes but too late. |

Poor performance that, midfield were all over the place and we didn’t feel confident holding possession at back. A few times we had some decent advantage and momentum but allowed it to fizzle out. Cox slowing game down at times was frustrating. Not convinced Mangan the man for job tbh.

Just back from Ifollow..
Scrappy game devoid of any real quality.
I don't know what happened to our passing game or why the creativity of Evans and Sinclair were missing, but the match drastically changed with the first wave of subs..
Nice assist for Big Chris Martin to take another opportunity...right in front of our fans too! I bet they liked that one!?
Not so nice assists for Cox who seemed he'll bent on passing to opponents with unforced errors like most of the team..
My m o m Luke Thomas. A constant menace.
Big shout out to the ref that got everything spot on except the most glaringly obvious penalty claim I think you'll ever see!??
But best move on as quickly as possible from this poor performance.
We really should be beating these teams, but put in a showing like that, I'm more than happy to get something out the game.
Onto furthest north trip where we rarely win. The Mangan unbeaten dream moves on...

To be honest just having a manager that gets the basics right and doesn’t choose strange line ups and tactics would be a breathe of fresh air.
We’ve become a very strange side to watch over the last year it’s like the players have never played together most weeks yet there’s been just about enough quality individually to keep us above the drop zone.

1-1 a fair result , lots of frantic stuff from both sides without any purpose , Brown shooting straight at their keeper sums us up , not a decent striker in the
box . Never gonna score enough on a consistent basis. Yes it looked a pen for us , but my feeling was the ref levelled it up by not giving theirs. Botttle job.
Need either JCH or another proven CF. Mangs will continue , though we need a new manager before the Jan window imo.
Our position in the table is ok , 12th with a game in hand on a few . Just tyring to stay optimistic!
Edit: Vale looked good tonight!

Well that wasn't a great watch, thought we were poor for the majority of the game. We had a 15 minute spell when we equalised and played with a bit more tempo but for the most part it was far too slow. We badly missed Evans tonight imo Woods & Finley are far too similar to play as a 2.
I was on the fence with Mangan getting the gig full time but if the owners have watched that tonight it may well have made their minds up. I'd be surprised if there isn't a decision made before Sat now.
A point isn't a disaster but in all honesty that's 2 points dropped tonight

As abject as you could’ve wished for. Strip Finley of that armband immediately, shameful showing from a captain and senior player. Hopefully the feds pinch the rovers scumbag who threw a firework from the upper tier into the lower that landed right on some ladies head. sh** performance, atmosphere, everything. Roll on Cumbria and hopefully a gaffer in place, cus Mangan ain’t the one. England doesn’t have ‘feds’ but maybe the police will lol |

Well that was sh*t.
There's no way in hell we are a top 6 side. We are where we deserve to be mid table. Were just an ok team at thr minute. Good in small flashes but that's about it.
Awful atmosphere for a 3k travelling support as well strangely subdued. Post Barton hangover has well and truly kicked in.
Need an appointment in the next 2 days as mangan isn't the answer.

I think that was the worst distribution I’ve seen from Cox. Woeful all night. Finley gave the ball away over and over again. Feel we would have done better with Marquis starting to pressure a defence low on confidence. Vale did very well after his introduction, and Thomas was our biggest threat throughout. Martin did Martin things which was brilliant. Overall very disappointed in Cox again and not convinced at all. |

Cox probably at the stage where he needs to be dropped. Starting to get very nervous when the ball is at his feet.The pace of the attack starts with the keeper and he just slows it down too much at present
