Totally agree and someone researched property locally and found most have moved in the last 10-20 years. Have they a knowledge and awareness of the identity and attachments locals have to the football club? Bristol isn't just for a vocal organised articulate group of pushy people moving in. It is for all Bristolians . I don't envy the local policymakers in trying to agree a solution which works for all. I do ask why would you move near a football stadium in a top 10 large urban city ?. Yes, I get all that, and have used the argument about buying a house next to a football ground many times myself. Expansion and development is inevitable. However, I think that bright blue cladding really makes it look like an eyesore. A green/brown colour would have blended in with their gardens and wouldn't have cost Rovers a penny more than the blue stuff. Still, the South Stand was Wael's baby. The new owners say they want to engage with the neighbours and "take them on the journey with them." Let's hope they mean it. Fair point but we need mutual respect. Some local pressure groups can't simply ' dislike' or ' oppose ' application's because they don't like football supporters or the club. Clearly if you look at the objectives of the four pressure groups since 1997 . It is openly prejudice and full of stereotypes about supporters and the club. They jump from one group to the next finding different objections often contradicting. For example F.O.M.S stated ' we welcome the historical relevance of the stadium safeguarding its future as a sporting venue and we support any revamps ' this was to stop Sainsburys . Then did a U - turn by saying ' any increases in attendances will impact the local community '. In a word they don't want us there !.

It looks a bit out of place currently but thats because the rest of the ground is old. But if and when it gets done it will look a lot better. All football clubs have to have brand identity as all clubs are more than just football. Part of Bristol Rovers brand identity is our colours so to have anything other than a blue stadium will only dilute what we're trying to build. In the days of promotional drone videos etc you'll want something that shines as a Bristol Rovers beacon on. Are any football stadiums externally anything other than the colours that represent the clubs? I'm struggling to think of any that I have been to where they are some or in part the colours of the club.

Having visited Ibrox a few years ago when visiting Glasgow I was hugely impressed with it. The history is pouring out of the stadium, the iconic brick main stand, the reception/staircase, the famous gates and of course the Ibrox Disaster Memorial. It felt like a museum day out, I only popped by because we were local but spent a few hours there. 👍🏾

Also the best atmosphere I've heard live at any match in the uk at Ibrox. By far and away.

Falkirk have a very impressive approach but the rest of their three sided ground is very modest.

No problem with the roof being blue, but the only people who can see the back of the south stand are the people who's gardens back on to it. Horrible.

You definitely noticing it when walking up from Muller road. Makes it much more of a landmark.

All this talk about the colour of the South stand is like watching paint dry People will moan about the wrong shade of toilet seat next Only if they've finally been installed over the summer!! You could bet if we had painted it the usual warehouse grey colour posters would be saying why have we painted it the same colour as a warehouse when it's a football stand.

All this talk about the colour of the South stand is like watching paint dry Really, so you wouldn't mind if the entire ground was rebuilt and it was sky blue? Would look like a plastic build your own stadium kit that you forgot to paint.

Birmingham stewards seemed to have been trained by the US Secret Service. Not much searching pre game there So while we were losing to Bromley in front of virtually no fans, Birmingham were beating Rangers 2-1 in front of 17,000 fans.

Just driven into London on the Great West Road past Brentford's Ground and it's all white on the exterior. Has a massive Sonic the Hedgehog on top mind you...
