What am I missing here, the south stand has been blue since it was erected. Have they added a different shade of blue on top? Why is everyone discussing the colour when it's been in place for 6 months? It's interesting to see where people are on the change curve...

Godd stuff. I was reading the thread thinking "blimey, they've gone and spray painted the blue stand with another shade of blue". Perfectly acceptable shade of blue when I walked past it and sat in it over 6 months ago. Anyone worried about this needs to go and get some sun, maybe have a beer or just relax a bit more. Haha, unreal.

You are so right; its been a slow week in the OPH, if they are not working themselves up into a frenzy over Joey and his antics, who sends his regards from his get away over there in Crete, they are discussing the colour code for corrugated iron.

Only Crete? If I had his millions, I'd be in the Maldives.

The thing is there is some just happy to have a new stand, but there are others that want things to be best they can be - don't really see the problem with that.
The attitude of just accepting everything that comes to us is probably why the Mem has remained as it has for so long. Us fans never seem to want more from the people who have chosen to run the club.

Fair enough. But on the grand scheme of things would we rather the stands were the right shade of colour or would we rather the bigger picture things were right? (Capacity, quality of seating, match day facilities, revenue generating facilities)

It's nothing to do with objectors as oldmarket65 rattles on and on about, nothing to do with not being fans.

Disgusting shade of blue on a stadium for a team who plays in blue. Presume that’s why they are moving as they are embarrassed by this crime…

Warehamgas has clearly spent too long in Dorset if he feels BCC would have ever had any interest in helping us return to Bristol, given they did zero all the time we were playing in Bath, and also did nothing to try and stop the Stadium Company forcing us to leave Eastville. If we hadn't managed to move to the Mem you do wonder where we'd be now, as I doubt the Dunford's ever had the finances to pay for a new ground in Bristol/S Glos.
As I understand it Rovers accepted a payment to leave Eastville.

I wish Rovers had a similar stadium to Everton’s. UTG.

That's not how most of us remember it. Rather the Stadium Company decided to significantly up the rent - well beyond what was affordable - as the land was much more valuable for shopping development.
Not that I would have expected anything from BCC, but they were certainly laissez-faire throughout.
