2 very average teams but josh grant what the hell were you doing. Cost us a point there and you quite rightly held you head in your hands

Grant needs to hang his head in shame. Grant needs to hang his boots up.

Best team.lost, thankyou Grant Hasn't that been the case all season, is it down to the likes of Grant letting us down or an issue with the management? If we appoint Mangan this week are we simply replacing JB with somebody with a similar style of management but less contracts in the game?

Martin has done well, no? I still wouldn’t have him Hugo, give him a two year contract and see what happens……currently he’s playing for his future. Yeah, fair enough but harsh to judge him on what you think he will do when he has done the opposite so far?

A real battling performance by the majority , I thought Evans and Finley were brilliant in midfield and Big Chris was fantastic up front. Unfortunately Aaron Collins put in another pathetic effort and needs to be dropped , I’ve had a guts full of him now. If we’d started Thomas in his place today we’d have had pace and movement up front. We pass it about well but as Man’s said on I follow and I’ve been saying all season it’s mostly backs to goal and not direct enough , we have to start Vale and Thomas together either side of Martin that way we can get behind sides and not play all of our football in front of them. Grants unless we should look to offload ASAP but I’ve been saying that ever since he arrived and he’s still here years on.

As said before, stop getting in ageing Teds who come for a retirement payday. Simple. Martin has done well, no? He scored again which covers up the lack of mobility and limited contribution. Not for me, move him on. Trouble is Marquis has some mobility but is a limited goal threat. We need someone new to move up.

I think we played well today and really took it to Derby. We should have taken something away from today yet we’re going home empty handed. I’d have been saying Mangan had put a really good claim in for the job today even if we didn’t take it but the fact that Grant was behind those two goals really makes me question his judgement. Whenever I see Grants name on the team sheet it leaves me feeling edgy about our chances. Assuming CT wasn't going to be risked today then who else could play at CB, given that Crama is suspended, Hoole assuming still injured and Connolly out on loan.

Think Derby just about shaded it - JUST ! Nothing for us to fear though at all.
Sadly though we helped them with a poor choice starting CB who made Mendez Lang look unplayable at times.
Lots of positives though … Finley was outstanding and the majority of the team put in a real shift.
Collins and Grant were very very poor today though. Would bench both on Tuesday or even give them the night off entirely.
Not sure Mangan is the chap to lead our team - lovely bloke but really not the tactical brain to change a game.

We need someone new to move on. I don't disagree, but Martin has lived up to expectations, maybe been a little better than expected. I'm sure we would all like to see us unearth a 20 goal player the right side of 30 in January.

Aaron Collins really does need ‘ resting ‘ now a polite term for dropping - its just not happening for him unfortunately! 💙 UTG

Go on then name one player in today's match day squad who could have started at CB, assuming CT wasn't going to be risked.

Gutting, dreadful error gave Derby an undeserved win. But we need a new head to make some good players become a good team, until we appoint a new manager it’s same old same old. Clarke has taken a very poor Cheltenham side and is starting to grind out results out - it is exactly the same effect that the Gas require. So, so frustrating.

Yeah, iam sorry but this Mangan , Barton love affair with Grant has run its legs, was all there to see today , the man is slow , makes it worse when we got are best defender on the bench , that’s the small decisions that Mangan has to get right when he after a job , , think he got that wrong today

A managers duty to spot when players are struggling… grant and Collins struggled big time today and they were both on there too long, grant even madly lasted 90 mins.
One good thing to take from this is clear mangan can’t get the job. Nice guy yes but that doesn’t win you promotions

Not sure what to think of that. It seemed we were out thought second half. It wasn't a bad performance but showed some of the usual frailties of our defence. Grant got done up like a kipper far too easily. Credit to Mendez Laing he was the difference.
I thought Finley played well. I thought Martin gives us a touch of quality upfront. His lay offs of the ball are a touch of class and his finish was excellent.
I feel a little disappointed we didn't go for it a bit more earlier. Still to come away from pride park with a decent performance can't be knocked.
