Very strange. Whatever they're investigating, I've never heard of a game being called off the night before because of it

If they’ve spent too much money, they’ve not spent it well!

Rumour is Deeney should have been suspended? Or maybe they are looking into the 7 day emergency Belly loan!

They seem to think it could be either because of Belshaw or Deeney. Also one fan commented how Belshaw has been their stand out player since joining them (maybe not saying much given their Legaue position though).

All a bit odd as surely the FA could make a decision today whether or not a player was eligible for the R1 tie?

Opinion is Belshaw has been a standout player and goals conceded were not his fault

A quality keeper but looked shakey last season behind a terrible defence. I’m not surprised he’s been their standout player , too good for league 2 and easily good enough for league 1. Barton hung him out to dry because Barton couldn’t organise his defence last season. Not the only player he threw under the bus either but moving forwards I hope Taylor recalls him in January if he can as I’d like to see him back in goal to prove his worth without having Barton standing over him criticising him. Then if Cox is the better keeper then fair enough but I’m not convinced he is. As far as forest green go , don’t like the club , don’t like their owner and I don’t like their fans so if they’ve done something wrong and get kicked out of the cup I won’t feel sorry for them on any level.

Our best player in our promotion season in a settled defence , wasnt as good last season in a terrible defence with very little in the way of midfield cover whilst being blamed for pretty much everything by our manager to cover his own inability to build a defence and many fans bought in to that but wasn’t half as bad as Barton made out . I’d have him back in a heartbeat , let him play three / four games give him a chance . Cox has more potential but we’re not going to sign him and Belshaw is ours.

That would be a long memory, a short memory would be him letting simple goals go past him from distance last season. Time to move on and get a proper keeper in, not a loan one, or one that thinks he’s bigger than the club.

All a bit odd as surely the FA could make a decision today whether or not a player was eligible for the R1 tie? If it's ineligibility because of yellow/red cards or being cup-tied that's black or white - no reason to postpone for an investigation. My guess it's about the Belshaw emergency loan, someone has complained... There's been a few interesting articles about the topic in recent months. Rise of the 'fake' No2

Rise of the 'fake' No2It wasn't Belshaw , it wasn't Deeney, it was though a lone player ineligible to have played in the initial first round game at Scarborough

That is why we signed Hall then I guess.

Even if it’s not because of Belshaw, how can someone who went on an emergency loan still be allowed to play for them two months later with their first choice keeper now fit again? I assumed the rules were once a senior keeper is back fit the emergency loan ends?
