I think we would have got 20,000 for this match if we had the space. Let's say current capacity is 9000 ( slight increase ). I reckon Pompey would bring another 3000. Yes I repeat 3000 . That would put gate around 12000. Additionally I think we could sale anything from 2 -3000 extra tickets. If space allowed we could push for 14000 on boxing day.

Pompey may be sold out, but at the moment there is a fair number of terrace tickets available for the home match against Charlton Athletic on Friday 29th December 7.45. Ko Just got mine for this one, taking my old gashead mother, and my son who is desperate for a win after Cambridge and Derby away so far. Got a good feeling about our festive season, bring it on!! UTG

UTG The good thing is we have no pressure of relegation now ( he says ). We can attack teams with Collins Marquis Evans Thomas up front. Teams at the top are expected to win which adds more tension to Blackpool Pompey Charlton etc. Its not like we got hanlan on his own up front like under garner!.

I agree On our day we can match anyone. Stay within the chasing pack and we have a favourable run of games from February. A few additions in January and you never know!! Saying that, we will have a good idea of where we are after Blackpool, Pompey, Charlton, Wycscum UTG

Pompey could probably sell 6-8k if there was the space and we’d quite easily sell another 3 or 4k for a big Boxing Day fixture like this.

I think we would have got 20,000 for this match if we had the space. 😂😂 Just my opinion, but 20000 would have been in reach with a completed stadium and 4000 away fans. Not sure why people think that’s a ludicrous suggestion🤷♂️

Any idea why we can't sell out the entire away terracing even if the view is restricted by the new stand, as I'd personally rather have to accept a restricted view for a one off away game than have to miss the game?
Although it's baffling why seating in the new stand is so restricted for two festive games, when Wrexham are apparently going to use their new temporary stand to full capacity on the 23 December, it muse be years since they had any fans using a stand at that end of the ground?

I wonder if it is anything to do with lack of facilities and entry/exit points at that end?

Do anyone think we will finish work and get it signed off ; allowing more tickets for Pompey game ?. Or is this it ?. I’m hoping we can get at least 50% of the stand open by using the match as a test event, depends on how much work is still required on the concourse I guess.
