Not too many players that are consistently good enough for this league but we need to build a good team around those that are. For me
Hunt Taylor
Ward
Evans
Thomas Vale
The other 5 starting places and 7 bench spots very much up for grabs with at least 4-5 needed from outside current squad.

A keeper who dominates his area and a centre forward who can lead the line are what we need for me. Taylor and Ward would make up the spine of that team. I still think a solid no 9 would allow Collins, Brown/Evans and Thomas to thrive as 3 around him |

His end product is really poor Yeah I did hesitate with him. And he is a loan. But think with a bit more confidence around him he could shine. Literally the only player that did anything positive in the first half yesterday |

In the space of just a few months not so long ago we had donkeys like Cunnington, Goldberg, Anthony Wall, Jamie White, Blisset…….to be writing Brown off after just a few months is mad. Plenty of players have taken time to gel in the past, Lambert and Marty Taylor spring to mind. Happens at all levels - plenty called Drogba a donkey at Chelsea for quite a while. |

Taylor looks confident an assured at the back, such a good signing who will only improve. Hunt and Thomas can link up really well together. It's a shame Hunt is nearing the end of his career, but Thomas has a lot of potential to tap into. Ward and Evans decent. Vale too, but he won't be ours for long. If the new manager is backed by the owners then we could build a really strong team going forward that isn't so reliant on loanees (though I am still happy for a few of these per season). I think even without Barton, we will still be trusted by some Premiership teams as it's clear some players have thrived after a spell with us. |

Blissett was a donkey basically bought after scoring against us, not sure where his cult here status has come from. Verdict still out on Brown imo, I’m hoping the new manager will get the best out of him as he has talent. |

Just last season he was one of the best players in this league , scoring goals for fun at Exeter. Fans are writing him off as useless already ? 🙄😂 |

Discussion on Collins Saturday.
His first thought, this season, appears to be what can HE do, not necessarily what is best for team. Explains why this season he has missed many passes to better placed players.
The comment was also, bet his first action is a mistake. In fact his first four involvements were mistakes, worse being when Grant passed to him expecting him to come to the ball when instead he went elsewhere.
Maybe he hasn't the brain fir L1.

My issues with Brown are his age and lack of track record to be honest. He’s played majority of career at lower level, then missed a chunk, and at 29 where’s the improvement or the track record to prove he can do it.
He should have the consistency that youngsters don’t have.
Yes he had a good spell at Exeter but we want top end L1 players and he isn’t it. He also needs physical improvement as he seems so slender, and again at 29 this won’t happen.
We will get flashes of brilliance and quality but in that 10 role we need far more than he offers.
