Seems Belshaw may have finished up with the longest 7 day loan š
be interesting to see if he is able to fight his way back here or if its just a temporary return before January.

I hope he comes back in for a few games, a better shot stopper than Cox imo.

I expect Taylor wants to take a closer look at him over the next few weeks, prior to the window opening.

Done continously by long shots . Flapped at crosses . Thought he was a sweeper & got caught out . But waved to Thatchets End . No thanks .

Plenty of experience too.

As far as Cox I can't recall one goal you could put down to an error he's made, with Belshaw it seemed like one a match.
We've also no idea if we can send Cox back in January without paying some kind of penalty/compensation to Brentford.

Cox bread and butter yeah ok but he doesnāt win us matches and hardly ever makes a great save , a decent effort ends in a goal most of the time. Belshaw has won us so many games.

Belshaw is an extremely poor shot stopping goalkeeper. He only ever saved instinctive close range efforts. The stats backed this up. It's a no from me. We need much better. Cox is a minor upgrade.

Totally irrelevant what Belshaw's done as that was an "emergency" loan, I don't believe there's any limit on those types of loans.

Neither one good enough for a league one side looking to push on.
Can do better

I feel like belshaw was terribly exposed last season by the system we played. The replacement loanee was equally exposed on his debut (5-0) I think and then we changed tactics to protect the new keeper more and save some face for the coach after a totally unnecessary switch. Iād play belshaw, at least he is ours.
