Or he'd rather keep his L1 wages and be playing in the first team every match, over coming back to warm the bench for a teenager. And, I think that says a lot about Belly - in that he wants to be turning out and getting minutes between the sticks. Commendable! Saying that, my personal jury is still out on both Matt Cox and Belly, and whether to get Belly back or not! I concur We could have better Goal Keepers regardless. I like Belly' and I'd love to have seen him have a better bite of the Cherry. Obviously the powers that are don't feelnthe same I think these next 12 months are going to be extremely telling. Our long term loans returning to parent clubs, contacts ending etc.. we might lose Belly in the summer, sign an awful No1 and wait until next January to sign another one. Bit of tangent that I know, but I'm basically saying we might want to keep Belly sweet, and if he can cut out the sweeper keeper role, I think he could come back well behind a new defence. Matt Cox is probably destined for the World Cups, but he's nowhere near that yet - and certainly won't be here when he is! Plus, we don't have too much luck with keepers |

Can’t get to Bolton tomorrow but have persuaded the boss to go to Harrogate Christmas market, so I’m off to see Belly in action v notts county, will be wearing my quarters and taking the gas flag UTG

Plus, we don't have too much luck with keepers Yet, going back to Eastville and somewhat at Twerton, we seemed to always have keepers waiting in the wings. I don’t know if it was luck of planned but we always had good keepers and then, when we sold big Nige, Parkin was a great replacement, until the back pass rule came in. I would love to hear that the new owners were planning to set up our own scouting network again. That would be a huge positive as I see it |
