Fantastic result, to go away to one of the best sides in our league & in the first half to restrict them to 0 shots on target to our 10 is some performance.
Blackpool next Saturday is going to be another tough ask, but this win should give the lads confidence that they can get a result & onto another cracking home match against leaders Pompey Boxing Day.

1st half I think was as good a performance as I've seen for a long time. They were always going to have a period of oressure even with 10 men but for the most part I thought we looked comfortable. 3 at the back seems to suit the players we have, Hoole coming back will help balance the side until Hunt returns but having said that I thought Thomas did a very decent job.
Fantastic result & should give the whole squad a massive confidence boost.

So after a successful cup game I’ll try my hand at a league one. I’ve just seen Madness at the O2 which was excellent. Hoping for less madness against Bolton who will provide a stern test for our boys. A nice 2-1 win (we never keep clean sheets) will do me nicely, with a winner from Connor Taylor. Interesting to see what team Taylor puts out. Will he experiment again or will we see a more settled side begin to appear? UTG on the money! Got to stay on the match threads son! Delighted. |

Can’t quite believe this result!
If this is a team sulking then I can’t wait to see them united!
Perfect time to hit some form, especially if players like Collins and Evans can reach the heights we know they can.
I’m liking this 3 at the back, if we continue to work on it we might finally settle on a system and get good at it! With JB you always felt like he was tinkering too much, confusing the defence. At this level you just need solid consistency.
Hunt to return, along with Hoole and hopefully McCormick and we look ok.
This division is wide open. It’s definitely within our capabilities to reach for the top 6. Why not?
