Interesting comment which has likes too. The reason people leave before the whistle and come back late, is because they are trying to get a pint or a snack or use the facilities. On the few occasions I have been on the terrace the last couple of years, I have experienced the chaos of trying to get refreshments from the clubhouse at HT. Why the club don't operate pop-up bars for cans of cider or prepoured I dont know?! They must lose thousands of pounds revenue per match on people not bothering, closing the bar before service or people having just 1 when they could have smashed in 2. That's why it happens. I understand why it happens. I just don’t get the desperation/need to have a pint at half time. People pay a small fortune to see a football match and miss a significant chunk of it in the bar. You can do that without going to a match and save yourself a good £25+. Horses for courses I guess. As for general refreshments / use of facilities I pretty uniformly leave the terrace behind the dugouts, get to the toilets, queue up and manage to get myself a drink with 5 minutes to go. Fair. I'd prefer it if the club adequately catered for people to have a pint at HT. It would generate extra revenue for starters. Understand that people have different routines/habits though. As for missing the match, that doesn't bother me. I have left at HT a number of times to sit in a pub and get scores on the vidiprinter. BRFC have my money, the entertainment isn't always to my liking, so it's a choice thing. Having been in the home areas of a few stadiums over the years, ours has to be up there with the worst for getting things achieved in the 15 minute break. QPR was also a total ballache and their concourse is semi open to the elements! Or, do what many other countries do, and allow punters to drink in the stands🤷♂️

Our concessions are poor on pretty much every front once in the stadium. Despite a range of heads of catering over the years we don’t seem to be able to get it right! The club has often missed out on sales due to excessively long queues, stock issues, closed units etc which have wholly unavoidable.

The meat and potato pies at Bolton would certainly have been vilified if served at the Mem. It ain’t just Rovers all the time.

The staff in the food stalls inside the ground are disinterested and useless. No idea why a simple pasty and drink with contactless payment takes so long. There’s always one stood doing nothing, usually gazing gormlessly into their phones !!

I love these videos. The sound was a bit off on this one but it’s probably more difficult to get right away from home. Still buzzing off this result bring on Blackpool.

Football is the same for me as going to church is for others. Meet up with friends that you haven't seen for a couple of weeks. Eat the 'body' of Rovers (a cheese pasty) drink the 'blood' of Rovers (Thatchers Gold) and sing the hymns of Rovers (Goodnight Irene). Football is much more than a football match for me, it is sadly linked to my mental health and sense of well being. There has been many changes in my life from homes to partners to jobs to cities. However the one thing that has been constant throughout that time is that sense of identity I get from being a Gashead. So, if it is my turn to go to the bar at half time then I will do my duty. As a group, we take it in turns to miss that last 5 mins of the first half. Its our sense of community.

Just managed to see the whole game replay,no coverage of first 30 mins? Tactically very good with Grant Ward looking to get into the space behind their left wing-back when possible and the opening goal a great example with the left centre back then drawn out towards the ball leaving space in the middle for the perfect cross for Marquis to score an absolutely cracking goal. Also happened early second half when Marquis just failed to get a good contact on another Ward cross so something that was definitely part of our tactical plan to get behind their defence as Thomas stayed further back for most of the game and thus fully occupied their wing-backs attention.Evans getting involved further forwards makes us a much more dangerous team as well and I think McCormick will be a good fit into this team when fit.Very good signs against a team that would have been top of the home game table if they had beaten us.
