Needless to say buzzing with that one, loved that a load of the home fans left after the sending off, even more when Evans got the second. Bolton looked a lot like us at the start of the season, lots of possession but no cutting edge. Pragmatism with playing on the counter, very impressed with the performance. Especially Marquis who lead the line excellently That’s awful support leaving in the first half at only one nil down. Bolton have got quality players if we hadn’t played a blinder they’d have probably got back in to it.

It's been a disastrous week for us Wanderers but we'll get over it. Thanks for your hospitality folks and good luck from here on in. Class mate. Really enjoyable day out that. All your fans we spoke to were spot on 👍 all the best for the rest of the season.

I can't see any fans leaving the actual stadium at 1-0 given our defensive record this season? There are 15 teams that have currently conceded more goals than us - scoring goals has been our problem - hopefully that is starting to be sorted.

He let himself down by saying "Bristol" rather than "Bristol Rovers". As annoying as it is you can forgive fans for that. It’s the professionals that say it that need to have a good look at themselves. Listening to Crewe commentary the other night they were discussing this. One said “Rovers have the ball. And we have to call them Rovers, we’ve been warned and told off for that. Apparently the fans really don’t like it”. They went on to debate why they couldn’t call us Bristol, and had absolutely no idea why we wouldn’t like it. I was really tempted to text in about calling Man Utd “Manchester”. But tbf to them, they did call us Rovers throughout

We should change our name to The Gas, that would resolve the problem!

I am one of those. It's normally the queue to get a drink. I am on the Thatchers and at least twice last season, I got into the queue at Ollies bar before the half time whistle and they closed for the second half before I could get served. Go back to the clubhouse bar now, but still a queue.

Interesting comment which has likes too. The reason people leave before the whistle and come back late, is because they are trying to get a pint or a snack or use the facilities. On the few occasions I have been on the terrace the last couple of years, I have experienced the chaos of trying to get refreshments from the clubhouse at HT. Why the club don't operate pop-up bars for cans of cider or prepoured I dont know?! They must lose thousands of pounds revenue per match on people not bothering, closing the bar before service or people having just 1 when they could have smashed in 2. That's why it happens.

Spot on Simon. The likes of Swansea use the order screens that you see in the likes of Macdonalds etc for food/drink orders and there is no ordering at the counter. This allows you to preorder food/drink for halftime and avoids big delays at the bar/food counters. This obviously works well with indoor concourses but not so easy to set up in outdoor areas like most of the Mem, but could easily be done in the likes of the thatchers bar areas.

I understand why it happens. I just don’t get the desperation/need to have a pint at half time. People pay a small fortune to see a football match and miss a significant chunk of it in the bar. You can do that without going to a match and save yourself a good £25+. Horses for courses I guess. As for general refreshments / use of facilities I pretty uniformly leave the terrace behind the dugouts, get to the toilets, queue up and manage to get myself a drink with 5 minutes to go.

I guess it depends on the reason you go. If you’re going for a social with mates to have some beers, I get it. Although I’d never miss 20 mins of a match. I can also make it back on time, but I usually don’t have beer when I watch us at home. As you can’t take the beer out of the bar, I’m guessing that’s why as well
