Not common to have a contract that expires mid season, I think there’s more to this It didn't, it expired in the summer, it's anybody's guess why he hasn't had a club since, perhaps his demands were too high or he didn't fancy joining the clubs interested.

Could look at some of these if we have any cash available to spend this window?

11 days in and not a whiff of a signing. I was hoping we could get a couple in during the first week of the window and really kick on in the league. I fear we’ll come out the other end of this window weaker than when it started. But MT did make comment about this and inflated prices and that we should not expect much movement. We have a big squad with many injured so I am guessing it will be loans. It would seem there is a lot to think about and none of us know if we are making extra funding available for new players. Apologies for swearing but Buckle and Garner apart, I can’t really remember the last time we did early business.

Could look at some of these if we have any cash available to spend this window? Was thinking a few players from Reading could be targeted with their financial worries. Femi Azeez, Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, Sam Smith, Tom Holmes, Nelson Abbey, Jeriel Dorsett, Lewis Wing and Charlie Savage would be worth considering.

29 yrs old and he has never really been a 1st choice goalie! Modern day Stuart Taylor. Was loaned out here there and everywhere, but was never first choice anywhere as far as I can remember.

They are still 150/1 to be promoted. They might be too far away, but definitely good odds as they are spending quite a bit.

MM seems to enjoy the bench given that his club was Luton, rather than a lower league side where he would play regular.

Charlton doing what Charlton do. Buying up everyone. Lets see if they can actually achieve anything with all that money thrown around

I dont know, the fools signed for Reading knowing they were having financial difficulties

Crazy money in L1 for an unproven kid. They'll be back in Financial shtook before long... along with Wigan and Reading, yet again.

Get Glatzel's development right and they'll have a sellable asset on their hands.

With the manager (rightly) out of the loop this week (all the best to him and family), I doubt we have many new irons in the fire. Really need a recruitment team and strategy in place well before the summer. For Jan we need to bolster ranks and hopefully get a wonderkid on loan upfront - or put a cheeky bid in for Sam Smith or similar.
