Talking of short term, 34-year-old Matt Lowton been impressing at RB and CB at Witton Albion and I don't think he's contracted there. Worth a look for a club at our level.

Blimey lads and lasses. The owners are spending on the stadium and are getting the wages trimmed after the nonsense of JB running everything. Would worry me more if we were throwing cash at JCH or long term deals at Chris Martin. This squad was never going to challenge as so unbalanced. But like what I see from the manager and a good proportion of players. Win Wednesday and you’ll all be ecstatic again.

We are not going to make the play offs and we don't want to overpay for players now in January when we can get much better in the summer. I could understand taking more of a gamble if we were a couple of points from the play offs. We are now trimming the squad which was also needed. With a couple of loan players going back I can see a couple coming in on loan between now and the end of the month.

Forget about JCH . I would rather go for Sam Smith at Reading especially as they are selling off there players to keep afloat. Not sure what his value is but got to be a better proposition than Harris. Believe he's only about 25 as well.

Also from the recent interview, it's clear the owners are sceptical of the value that can be added in January V the inflated cost it brings. I think the more telling window will be the summer where MT has had a full 6 months to assess the squad and can identify targets. As long as we are moving forward be it infrastructure, academy or squad, I'm happy (whilst not dropping down leagues)

He might not be for us, but could clearly still do a job for someone at this level.

See on FB allegedly Luca Hoole off on loan to Forest green Saw that on X. Would be very disappointed if true. Not been given a go yet and we are very short of fit defenders.

I really rate Luca as definitely one for our future, think he will get better and better, plus he’s a top lad on and off the pitch .
I’d be really disappointed if we let him leave 😔

Luca is not a centre back in a three, not a bad full back.

See on FB allegedly Luca Hoole off on loan to Forest green Wouldn't be a shock. Outside of about 2 months of flashing potential, he's always seemed off the pace for what we've needed whether it's been league one or league two. Some will say he's young and needs more time but at some point you need to show you're good enough.

Think he’s shown he’s good enough at right back plenty of times He hasn't this season, when he came on at Wycombe we were losing 1-0 to 10 men and within a few minutes we were 3-0 down, you sense that match might have sealed his fate, he really now needs some game time and then start a fresh next season, although he's now slipped to 3rd choice already behind Hunt & LT. As far as FGR they are looking doomed, they are doing a Yeovil.

No idea why we're sending Hoole out when I'd keep him for the depth in the squad.

I like Hoole, but I've always been concerned for him at L1 level. No doubt he'll go onto the Championship one day IMO, but not sure he's ready for the push into the play offs yet.
Hopefully it's a loan out and he can build up some form.
He's also way too good to go to the bottom of L2. Surprised some of the top teams aren't enquiring there tbh.
Would be nice to have some rumours about players coming in tbh..
