Just listening to MT when asked about incomings and Chris Martin .... " I'm doing all I can to convince the owners he is worth a contract" - They are the blockers to any money being spent in this window - My confidence in our Senior Leadership team really is nearly as low as it was with Higgs ! Exactly - and according to Roadman there is a suggestion that Al-Saeed Junior pulled the plug on the JCH deal, for whatever reason - I will always be convinced that if we’d got him in the last window we’d be in the top six now, with or without Barton

Wouldn't be a shock. Outside of about 2 months of flashing potential, he's always seemed off the pace for what we've needed whether it's been league one or league two. Some will say he's young and needs more time but at some point you need to show you're good enough. Think he’s shown he’s good enough at right back plenty of times He is, but MT doesn't use full backs so they are not going to get much game time right now. Could he stay as CB cover? As a two no, but don't see why not when in a three. Gordon and Gibbons unlikely to get much of a look in this season either. I imagine Hunt will be used more as wing back and once Friend is back, he would probably be suited to playing in the back three.

If there is any truth in Hoole going then I wouldn’t hold much hope of keeping RyanJones past the end of this season
Shame we couldn’t give him a run, LB/LWB is an area we have struggled for years

I would keep Hoole around - it isn't looking like we are actively going to be recruiting many new incomers.

He has height and a bit of speed which could make it work. For me he can play RB if we switch formation in a game and cover RCB and worth trying RWB. Not something I'd rush to change.

Have to say - there's a conversation to be had regarding Aaron Collins - not really featuring under MT. Could he be on his way out this week?

More suggesting he may be picked up by a Champ club as opposed to moved on to a L1 club. I seen QPR mentioned this window & was ware of Stoke / Sheff Weds interest in the summer.

Cole Stockton being pushed out at Burton. The Sun reporting Oldham, Charlton & Stevenage keen. Would do a job here IMO.

Charlton Athletic midfielder Scott Fraser has been transfer listed. Could be worth a look.

Ok, not scoring but providing assists and getting in amongst things. He will come good, I am sure of it bit difficult if he doesn't play. Taylor seems to prefer brown over him. If that's the way its going to be then collins won't be hanging around too much longer

Harry Kite still 'injured' at Exeter City. Sounds like he's trying to force a move from there, with us and Ross County being mentioned. They are also suggesting we are after Centre Half Hartridge.....

At some stage in this window we have to turn the tide as if we lose many more we will be struggling to field a squad. Six out and none in is ridiculous when we are so short of defenders, midfielders and another goalscorer. We have too many players under no pressure for their place whatsoever such as Harvey Vale who stays on the pitch despite being unable to finish his dinner-his final ball be it shot or cross being mostly terrible. I have at this point in time no faith whatsoever in the new owners. Time will tell.

Jack Marriott apparently made available for transfer by Fleetwood. Be interesting to see what sort of teams are interested, imagine a few league 1 teams would take a chance on trying to get him back firing.

I know you're not the most glass half full sort, but our squad was definitely (and MT has said since he joined) too big. Especially in midfield areas. No surprise we have trimmed some of the expense - most of whom have been on the bench, if in the squad at all. We all know what we need to bolster, we have 2 weeks to get that done. Oh and we had 1 in. Connolly. You cant count loans out if you dont count loans back!

It always seemed a strange move to Fleetwood but perhaps they took a chance as well. Whatever it didn’t work out. I may be wrong but I seem to remember us being linked with him as a loan move from Ipswich when we were in the conference 14/15 season. Did he play against us at Woking January ‘15? But I expect Fleetwood will be looking to get something for him so that might make it harder. UTG!

Their ownership issues during the summer, onto their 3rd manager this season now which isn't usually a good sign. He has managed 5 goals in the league for them, which compared to us would put him as our 3rd top goalscorer behind Evans, Marquis and Martin. He did also get 8 goals last season from January onwards after he signed for them. They were rejecting bids of around 500k apparently in the summer, so like you say a fee might be the issue. Depends how desperate they are to get rid and get the wages off the books, or if anyone is desperate.
