Try telling them their season is over. Meanwhile at the gas... Was just about to post laughing at Charltons ridiculous approach, but apparently some would like that here?! Honestly, they will be the next going bust and having points deducted. Keep spending, never getting out of the division. No thanks. They’ve got the top goalscorer of the league in Alfie May and certainly strengthening their squad. They have more chance of finishing higher than the Gas do who are currently not active in the market but our interested has been mentioned in the Exeter city player who’s stats are shocking and he only gets selected for 35% of games. Let’s hope this one is a mere rumour… if gas finish 12th this season then I think that’s ok. The board have other ideas right now and think they are waiting out for the summer.

Chem Campbell's loan spell at Charlton has ended early. He impressed me at the Mem a couple weeks ago.

Charlton submitted an offer for Cheltenham Town Forward Will Goodwin, mentioned he was a good option.

Understand Charlton Athletic are looking to sign the young Lithuanian stars N.E.Bodee and his twin F.Re.Bodee.
Might hit the bottom line but FFP not a concern.

What's FFP got to do with an L1 club, when this league operates under an entirely different scheme? If Rovers have budgeted on the new stand being is use then it might well be us who need to worry about breaching financial controls, perhaps that's why we're shifting so many players off the wage budget and, so far, not replaced any of them?

Charlton Athletic midfielder Scott Fraser has been transfer listed. Could be worth a look. Will be a good signing for someone if they can get him back to 22/23 levels. EDIT: but just read he's allegedly on £7.6k p/w, so will need deep pockets if true! 😮

Blackpool in talks over loan deal for Blackburn Rovers forward Niall Ennis - done exceptionally well at Argyle in L1 last season.

An Exeter Fan who called the Jevani Brown transfer early has said we are close to agreeing deal for Harry Kite, undisclosed fee (he has 6 months of his contract left so cant imagine it would be much more than 70-80K?).

Midfielder. What sort of style and where would he fit in? Possibly with an eye on next season? Still need some experience at the back and perhaps pace going forward.

Maybe we are looking to sign a player or two later in the window? That way we don't have to pay out a month's wages if we leave it later towards end of January? 🤷🏻♂️

Cant say Kite fills me with excitement, but we need someone to provide back up with Woods and Bogarde gone. MT has obviously worked with him before and he is young, so happy to trust him on this one! We have experience there with Finley and Ward (plus Evans if needed) so a younger prospect of our own makes sense. Suprised nothing happened at left back yet (or CB other than Connolly's return).

Predictable for a club with no scouting or recruitment infrastructure for the manager to target players he's worked with before. Unfortunately for us the managers only experience at this level prior to us was Exeter for 11 games and all the best players from Taylor's time are no longer there and beyond our reach now. Any Rotherham players realistic?

Surely Taylor, Bond and others will have seen players in action and been suitably impressed. Byron has been a youth coach for several seasons. He might have seen someone a few seasons ago? I know he recommended one Newport youth team forward who we spent quite a bit of money on in his first spell as Rovers youth coach. Can't recall his name off hand, but he was blighted with injuries but was on the bench for a few EFL trophy games.

The signing of Rhys Kavanagh for a fee is hardly a ringing endorsement of their recruitment capabilities.

JB got slated for signing half of Fleetwoods team, dont want the same to happen now especially given the mess of Exeter. Given that we have previously signed players from teams that werent managed by the manager it is possible.
Just begging them to think a little laterally. Going back to old teams for players is so narrow sighted, it worries me as its either the easy option or shows a massive lack of wider awareness.
Wonder if anyone at the ACN small teams like Cape Verde and Mozambique getting strong results.
