Grant Ward my MOTM today, he was everywhere and so good going forward, running at the defence. Big shout to Sam Finley, that should put the doubters to bed who said his legs were gone, outstanding again. Both have been immense recently. The whole team is stepping up atm and I’m loving the positive play. We are firing on all cylinders. Whoop whoop. UTG

Deserved win. Only question mark for me is why goal on first half was disallowed? Collins touched the goal bound effort in from an offside position. If he hadn't done that the goal would have been allowed . I thought it was Luke Thomas that touched it in? If it was Collins summed up his night mind he wasn't great and for me is the weak link.

I wasn’t pro or against as I recognise my football opinion is not particularly good after I tipped Nathan Blisset to “come good” but weren’t some of you saying Chris Martin - Get rid just a few threads ago?
Can we have a whip round for some vaseline? Chris has stuck it up your ass so hard I do feel you need a little lube this evening!

What an absolutely brilliant performance. That was the best I have seen us this season. Sam Finley Connor Taylor Luke Thomas Grant ward all absolutely outstanding. The only dampener was Wilson going off injured because those back three together are such a formidable unit. Just have to hope he isn't out too long. Don’t think it was injury. He was moving just fine. We’ve had and still have a lot of games to play and Wilson is getting on and injury prone and we looked like we were capable of seeing the game out so Hoole came on to shift to a back four. He was just saving his legs Imo

Get the f… in ! Shout out for Crama who has been excellent the last few games after a bit of a shaky start. As well as his two goals the highlight for me was when Martin flattened their centre back who had the cheek to try and challenge him! 😂

I don't think Taylor would have brought to him off otherwise as they are so solid together back there. I think he is playing with a niggle as Taylor has mentioned this previously.

MT just said on radio that Collins touched it in and was offside. Not annoyed with him as that's where he wanted him to be. Collins not firing on all cylinders but I'm noticing he whips in some great crosses. Was worried when C Taylor got turned by his man. Faultless apart from that.

Thought it was just tactical , went to back four as there was space down his side that they were exploiting. Didn’t look injured to me.

If it was Collins summed up his night mind he wasn't great and for me is the weak link. Not sure he’s the weak link tbh. Works hard, often involved in goals despite not scoring himself and opposition regularly double up on him to leave space free for others. Would pick him over Brown, who is probably his replacement, every day of the week.

‘I thought we were great 2nd half.’
WTF was he watching?

Can't hold the ball up , is lazy off the ball, never on his toes anticipating the ball is always caught flat footed. However his miscued shot did set up our winner so il cut him a little slack 🤣

Just watched Appleton’s post match interview. ‘I thought we were great 2nd half.’ WTF was he watching? The first ten minutes of the second half they were doing very well. That was when they looked most dangerous.
Anyhow I enjoyed that game. Decent kick off time for me. vegemite on toast and a few cuppa's.
Now on with the day. The sun is shining. It's going to be hot. I'm going to clean the pool and have a couple of beers. Well the beers will be after lunch.

Left it late again but another thoroughly deserved win against one of the divisions 'big boys' I thought Charlton started really well and must admit was a bit concerned early on but after 10 mins we settled and from then on were superb. Equaliser was a real kick in the teeth but we showed a lot of resilience to go again. Fantastic quick thinking for the winner, not sure if it was a cross or shot from Collins but who cares !! 9 points from 4 tough games, looking forward to Wycombe already

Martin’s strength, hold up play, passing and clinical finishing has been outstanding since he has been with us. Realistically his lack of pace doesn’t suit the high press system but he consistently produces what many fail to in this league - an end product.
What a performance from the GAS. Let’s hope we can keep going. UTG

Well done the team. Well deserved win with everyone putting in a shift. Taylor and Thomas were MOM, can’t decide who but it doesn’t matter, both immense. Vale’s inexperience at full back gave the goal away but he had a great game otherwise, always pressing on that side and his delivery matches that of Evans. AC had a decent game I thought and his awareness in the box made the assist to score the winner. Grant Ward does so much without too many plaudits but you can see the difference when he’s not there. And Finley looks a rejuvenated player, always a down-to-earth, straight talking player who has responded well to Matt Taylor’s straightforward approach. Strangely I thought the referee had a decent game, let the game flow, didn’t make any major errors that changed the game. I wasn’t sure about the penalty, others closer to it might have seen it better. He could have been a bit harder on some of the Charlton tackles but I’ve seen far worse. Great attitude to overcome the disappointment of giving the goal away and come back and win it. Well done Matt Taylor to have galvanised someone else’s squad and get 3 wins against good sides. Must be doing the right things. 👏👏👏 UTG! Thought the ref was abysmal. The first goal masked him missing a stonewall penalty.

Fouled in the build up for the second to leave Grant Ward free to do what he did. His touch tonight, even if not intentional, set it up lovely for Martin and he was in the right position. Just feel he gets a lot of stick due to his lack of goals when he does still contribute positively. Granted, he does still fall over too easily.
