Just watched this. Charlton fans should hold their heads in shame. A ball boy getting over excited when his team scores, just let him enjoy it. It looks like the security guard told the ball boy to leave at the end, hope the Charlton 'boys' feel really tuff and oh so proud of giving it to an 8 year old. Hello mate, just wanted to say I wasn't happy hearing this either. I thought at first it was in regerence to the fans behind us in the upper tier who were standing and of course giving us banter and I hope it was. It was just the one fan who said it though and every game has people like this. Hope the young man enjoyed the occasion as that's what football is all about. We are generally a sound bunch and I'd like to think that comment wasn't aimed at the kid but the fans on the upper tier (not saying that would make it right either) Nah, they are all right lady gardens up in that stand. š

However they way the steward steps in and sends the little un away, suggests it was him. :-(

Great to get back to back home wins.
Heard the same walking down Muller road after the game: first 10 mins Charlton looked strong and quick going forward but after that Rovers were on top and deserved winners overall I reckon.
Cox looked better, although still not as good as I thought he would be with his distribution. All the back 4 now release the pressure if it's not on to play around - an obvious change with the change of management. A naive mistake from young Vale but otherwise pretty solid as a defence I thought. Vale and Thomas out wide are a great release ball. Both have good touch so there's confidence from Finley and Evans to ping it out to them.
Central midfield is the biggest difference over the last month. Finley and Ward played very well. Finley passing forward well. Ward bringing the ball out is something he's doing a lot more in the last couple of games, makes him look more of an all rounder than a defensive midfielder.
Our teeth up front still aren't as sharp as they could be but creating chances every game is promising (scored in every home game this season). Collins piling up the assists is surprising considering he hasn't seemed to be on form all season.
It's looking good at the moment. Atmosphere has picked up since a month ago too. The biggest change on the pitch I've noticed is decision making by the players. My theory is previously they've been told in no uncertain terms what pattern of play to follow in all sorts of situations (micromanaged by someone who has played at a higher level). Whereas now they have a bit more freedom when they're on the ball. The willingness to clear the lines instead of playing into trouble at the back is one example. The intricate passes between midfield and strikers going forward is another. It's good to watch and I think the players will enjoy themselves more and more. Plenty of us have said these are good footballers, seems like now they can show it more.
PS. There's no quicker way to broadcast you're a w**ker to everyone around you on a terrace than blowing a plume of vape smoke in the air.

Always thought we had too many coaches and definitely too many staff. Often used to see many lanyard wearers on a match day just talking to each other but doing nothing and had no clue who they were. Hopefully the new owners have come in and streamlined things. As for new additions, we must cater for injuries and loss of form, but I guess it will be difficult to get players out, as I suspect we pay very good money for this division. Loans may go back, but I think Bogarde was class last season and with injuries and suspensions he may get a chance. Belly and Hall are the most likely to go (Hall on loan). I still think Bogarde is a great player he just needs a run of games like vale and if given that he would thrive. There is no way Finley and ward will remain fit for the rest of the season so I think we keep Bogarde for when injuries to either happen. Or send Bogarde back and get another DCM in as he's as looked half the player he was last season whenever he's played, and you also sense MT doesn't rate him as he's not even making the bench.
