Challenging player just keeps Martin onside for me.  If I’m a Charlton fan I’m fuming tonight. Not because of the offside decision, but in the 94th minute of a 1-1 game, how does the CF have so much space to slot in a through ball. What is their defence playing at?! |

I'm certain he was offside but I'm happy we don't have VAR in league one 😉 |

I looked at the wealth of attacking players that Charlton have in the warm up and thought at the time with those attacking players they must have serious problems elsewhere to be below us in the league , Alfie May for example has 19 goals in all comps this season. Certainly they looked shakey at the back , their discipline was poor and although they had some decent players in forward positions the majority of the time they didn’t look up for the battle which we gave them. |

We even had two attempts at the quick free kick! Ward’s from the wrong place and then the quick pass from Evans. They just completely switched off! |

I’ve always been very critical about staying at the mem long term, but once again, the atmosphere was electric! And not many modern stadiums can create that kind of hostile environment nowadays. We were definitely the 12th man I’ve always thought weve got one of the best atmospheres in the lower leagues , others that spring to mind Pompey and Plymouth are loud but once the south stand is full ( hopefully) it’s going to be bloody brilliant down the Mem. They seriously need to increase the amount of urinals in the thatchers end though, having to queue for 10 minutes at half time for a water is unacceptable. There is a building next to the pastie stands that was a big toilet area but it’s never open these days. Does anyone know what the new capacity of the Mem will be once the new stand is fully open ? The lower reaches of 12k. Think that was another reason a traffic survey wasn't done as the capacity is going to be pretty much what it was before the terraces had their capacities dropped. |

Great result especially with the last gasp winner which always makes it feel more special, thought we could/should have won by more, a cast iron penalty waved on by the referee, and our final ball at times was disappointing in my opinion. Thought Charlton were very poor and their defending for the winner atrocious.

Don't have anywhere to host/upload the image but playing it back Collins did look off side to be fair. Dunno why lino took so long to flag but there we go. iFollow didn’t even show a reply! There is a replay button now which is useful cos the live stream pops up in a little box on top of the full screen replay. It basically rewinds around 30 seconds. Would love it if when they do show replays they'd keep the live going too as they often show them whilst there is action happening! |

Deserved winners, I think most of us Charlton fans saw this coming a mile off, the only surprise is that you won it at the death. Matt Taylor is going to be a sound appointment for you lot, Rotherham were fools to let him go. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they come down and yous finish above them next season. Did my vlog again for the game which can be found here: Didn't find the Gasheads I spoke to on the first fixture but I still spoke to a lot of new faces and you are a welcoming bunch, no trouble at all walking around interacting and I think both sets of fans made it a good atmosphere. Just a shame about the quality of football on display from our side. Good luck for the rest of the season and if anyone posts on here that features in my video or I spoke to yesterday, nice to meet you and thanks for your time again  |

What a night...again!
Cracking match, lads played well, let's face it Charlton had their chances and there was plenty of action in both final thirds. High tempo throughout by both teams. Hard to pick a MOTM, although I thought Finley raised it a bit by his standards. Also felt for Harvey being sat on his backside for the equaliser and really pleased for him that it didn't cost us because he is a serious young talent and no one wants to see his confidence dented, he had a great game too bar the one slip.
Definitely a shift in style Taylor is implementing, the patient built from the back Barton era is gone and getting forward and putting the oppo on the back foot is in and paying dividends.
Now we need to keep this run going and the confidence and belief with it.

You absolutely mastered missing the goals 😂 but I liked that you got involved with our away fans. I didn't realise there was such disdain for Appleton as there is. He was a surprising appointment, I thought you would go for someone with a bit more of a record on their CV that had been and done promotion from L1. He's a bit like Karl Robinson in that he's been dining out on one promotion from L2 and a cup final appearance about 10 years ago and has a shelf life of about 8 months everywhere else he has been ever since simply because his teams are found out pretty quickly. I can't see that changing at Charlton. I think you have some good forward players, May and Blackett-Taylor would be good additions to any squad but you seem totally imbalanced and weak across your defence and low block midfield. Jones has no idea how to cope with Martins strength and Thomas ran rings around Edun all game. Perhaps you would have been better off sticking with Holden as you look like a real rebuild project which will take 2 seasons and 3 windows to complete and I've seen both games against you this season. Absolutely love the friendly interaction and exchange of views twixt fans of our recent opponents and ourselves that have surfaced on the forum just recently. I think it adds much to the enjoyment of the forum and i enjoy reading views from 'THE other side about Rovers and their own clubs, reminds me a little of the old days at Eastville when you could find yourself seated next to a visiting fan and you could have a chat about the merits of 'your' club or otherwise! hope the trend continues, very much enjoy the videos fans put together as well, one would assume we have fans who do likewise when they go away?
