We give away at least one sloppy goal every game. I’m not sure why there was a need to change formation after going a goal up? We are stacked on the right hand side but have nobody on the left I’ll have to watch it again in a bit but pretty sure their goal stemmed from crama playing that short pass in to the centre mid who’s always marked and it puts us under so much pressure. We generally do it less now Barton’s gone but that is the hospital pass of all hospital passes I don’t know why Crama likes it so much. My thoughts exactly with Cramas pass, lost our shape then leading to Vales error

I've been critical of Ward but that was a big improvement tonight.

Moment of the match for me was finley getting turned and falling down in our box in front of the south west stand at around 75 minutes and yet, like a stricken salmon on the bank of a river he attempted to pulse his body, from toe to nose, and writh in front of the ball to prevent a cross. He failed but bloody hell, he tried. Cap doffed.

Occasionally he goes long and he can hit a decent long range pass but that hospital ball gives me nightmares I wish he’d stop doing it.

I've been critical of Ward but that was a big improvement tonight. I thought he was our man of the match over the course of the game but could understand if Martin got it for his two goals.

Bogarde and Woods were great loan signings on paper, but they are being kept out by Finley and Ward who are absolutely bossing it

Grant Ward was PHENOMENAL No exaggeration. The Finley ward axis in the middle with Evans just in front is probably the best midfield trio I've seen at the gas. It's phenomenal the way they are playing at the minute. Evans cool as ice. Lil bit reminds me of Lines.

He was benched for the Cheltenham game and since then has produced 4 or 5 decent performances. I agree that there are right times to do it to get a positive reaction. He was definitely struggling for several games and needed to be taken out of the firing line. My issue is people have still been calling for him to be dropped even when he’s producing decent performances and contributing. It just makes no sense to me.

One final point from me, what the hell was their captain doing with his shorts? He seemed to spend more time pulling them up high than trying to play football in the second half.

I’ve always been very critical about staying at the mem long term, but once again, the atmosphere was electric! And not many modern stadiums can create that kind of hostile environment nowadays.
We were definitely the 12th man

There was a spell in the 2nd half when Charltons left back was having an absolute mare. Even the 50/50s weren't going his way. Eventually something went his way when he quite clearly won a throw in..... Linesman gave it our way. Thought he was going to explode

Yes absolutely, I saw that and it was a brilliant (and funny!) moment from Finley who showed he was really willing to put his body on the line for the Gas, even if it meant turning into a fish.

Even more so when we fill the south stand.

We were definitely the 12th man I’ve always thought weve got one of the best atmospheres in the lower leagues , others that spring to mind Pompey and Plymouth are loud but once the south stand is full ( hopefully) it’s going to be bloody brilliant down the Mem. They seriously need to increase the amount of urinals in the thatchers end though, having to queue for 10 minutes at half time for a water is unacceptable. There is a building next to the pastie stands that was a big toilet area but it’s never open these days. Does anyone know what the new capacity of the Mem will be once the new stand is fully open ?
