Look I know he's an ex 82er and all that but why are there a few happy about someone losing their job who has absolutely nothing to do with us, what about his family, yeah I'm sure he's got a few quid but still

Spoke to Lee yesterday and he mentioned they needed a good window so I am surprised by his sacking, I am sure he is as well. I only caught up with him re McAllister and he said we would have a brilliant management team if he joined us.
I think he needs to look at Paul Trollope now and perhaps admit he’s more suited to coaching or something else in football, DOF or scouting etc.
He gets a lot of banter on here as I do because of my friendship with him but he is a good caring person. When my best mates wife died in March, Lee flew down from Edinburgh and missed training at Hibs, some could say he should have put his job first but he didn’t, he actually let McAllister take care of things for the week to be there for our friend.

Also inherited a good side from Rosler, shame he couldn’t them on a level like Edwards did at Luton with Jones’s side. |

Never good for anyone to lose his job and I suspect the difficulties at Fleetwood go deeper than their inability to win football matches. Not LJs fault. When the former owner got sent to prison you felt that there would be ripples in the water that would affect them in the end. I know they did some sharing round of his shares, responsibilities in the family (I think) but can’t keep moving stuff around. In the end it settles and it doesn’t seem to be going well.
Having said all that I was always surprised when they signed Marriott and Stockley this year. They wouldn’t have come cheap yet and they don’t seem to have settled well. I'm surprised they are so low given some of their players but perhaps there’s not the money available now with the jailed owner out of the picture. And there is a ceiling for every club as Yeovil, FGR and Rushden and Diamonds have found.
I’m sure LJ will get another job. He did ok at City and even Sunderland and just ok at Hibs but he tanked at Fleetwood and will need success at his next post. I think I can say good luck to him!
