Very true for the likes of Tommy Robinson and his acolytes (apologists), but we need to address things. Just look at Northern Ireland or Brexit, one was brought about by sorting out concerns and showing terrorism won't win. The other by allowing the narrative to be stolen by malicious people and other actors. Ignoring will only inflame tensions further. I'm sure the Yaxley Lennon fan boys will have missed the irony of a convicted criminal moving to a foreign country to live. You couldn't make it up! Having briefly read the other forum, that's a given.

Racists will never be happy until there are no non white faces . f**k them . Very true for the likes of Tommy Robinson and his acolytes (apologists), but we need to address things. There is a huge danger here, there are a significant number of people in this Country who are not right wing extremists but whether true or not feel they have been ignored by the government for years and are sick of it,as Stuart alluded to ignoring them will escalate the current troubles.

I think its worse than that. Extremists are filling that void and are actively trying to engage these people. People do have fears about Muslims, immigration, the perceived injustice of welfare state abuse etc. and some on the left just want to call them right wing racists and I honestly believe that some will lean in and say "well, if that's what you think I am, I may as well crack on". It doesn't help when mainstream parties buy into this (I'm looking at you Braverman) in a bizarre attempt to appeal to the urlta right by sending people to Rwanda. We have dehumanised immigrants and it's just so worrying.

It all depends who you are interacting with.
Some of the people on MSM, other forums and especially on X have made their views clear and are aware of the the trouble they are stirring up. If not challenged and confronted they will continue to spread their poison.
The ordinary person in the street who might vote Reform and is uneasy about immigration and the consequences of it (or at least the consequences they've been told about), is indeed different and persuasion and discussion rather than confrontation is much better.
I don't think it's difficult to attempt to reason with otherwise reasonable people and confront unreasonable people.
And of course by confrontation I don't mean throwing bricks, on either side. I mean confronting their views on the media they choose to post.

It's lazy politics to do as Starmer did to call people "right wing thugs",there has to be clarity from politicians when they label people about whom they are talking ,that's not happening ATM and it's very dangerous, look what's happening in the US with folk who feel disenfranchised and talked down to.

Find it extremely bizarre that Tommy Robinson is currently in a different country, sat in the sun trying to darken the colour of his skin.

I'm surprised a 5* resort hasn't told him to pack his bags, just imagine turning up for your hols costing thousands only to find TR & his family all sat by the pool!!

He's on holiday in Cyprus, home to a massive immigration population from Russia. Coincidence I'm sure.

"If that makes me racist, so be it". At least she's willing to admit she might be (ie she is), unlike the rest of the haters gearing up for trouble with some relish.

I've no idea what this guy posted on Facebook but I wonder if it was any worse than the Local Councillor tweeted? BBC News - Man admits stirring up racial hatred online www.bbc.com/news/articles/cn022z0vgj4oIt seems like most people convicted this week the defendant was reminded in custody pending sentencing, which I assume means that a custodial sentence is likely on Friday.

Let's hope the "demonstrations" this evening are either a massive flop or managed well by the police.

What are they protesting about that should be peaceful ? There are a lot of people who feel disenfranchised, feel the Welfare system is unfair and are concerned at the level of immigration,if they wish to protest peacefully then they have the right to do so.

Stop buying into right wing lines 🙄 I'm not buying into any nonsense,I am capable of differentiating between what is plainly unlawful and that there are many people who feel not listened to or do you think the whole 4m who voted Reform are all Right wing racists, you may not like their politics or views but it doesn't mean they can't peacefully protest if they want to.
