That's a complete red herring,it's sh.t but would be more sh.t etc That's no excuse for the appalling state of the NHS,Education and complete mal administration. My point as well is Vorderman posts daily about the Tory government however, chooses to ignore and say nothing about Wales ,wonder why🤔🤔 I met Carol Vorderman once when I was working behind the scenes on a TV show. I suspect I know exactly why she likes to snipe from the sidelines rather than get stuck it and actually run for election. Style over substance, appearance over action. But she can do mathematics so whilst she would be a rubbish Chancellor she could check their working out (Chief Secretary to the Treasury...?) The Scottish government is falling apart. The Welsh government is falling apart. The UK government might be rubbish but at least they will see out their electoral term... You met her once ….for how long and what did you chat about to form your opinions of her ? This must of been quite the meeting for you to bring it up on here and I’m genuinely intrigued.

I think it was Big Fat Quiz of the Year but might have been one of the spinoffs. We had to prep equipment and prepare the talent to use it. Met quite a few famous people for around 30 mins doing that.

Met quite a few famous people for around 30 mins doing that. Lighting or sound ? Special effects. I seem to remember that one was something to do with the Crystal Maze dome thing which they changed during the shoot. Don't believe me? This was my gunge tank a couple of years later. Got to meet Jimmy Carr (who was lovely until he was covered in gunge), Jonathan Ross who booked us for other projects and Jet from Gladiators who was nice (but her mates backstage were a nightmare). We also did several seasons on Big Brother, some one-off ITV Christmas shows and a lot of large nightclub events...

Tbf, I think the only reason that happened was because Boris brought such a majority at the last GE. I don't have much doubt that the Tories would have been booted out after Liz Truss if they didn't have such a commanding position. As for Wales, I tend to agree with TrevorGas that every party should be put under the same scrutiny. It's a shame most haven't applied that scrutiny to the current goverment. But the entire no confidence debate does seem a bit extreme for the sake of a £200k party donation. Christ, after everything we went through with Boris personally accepting house renovations and that Tory MP accepting a bribe to bring up a topic in the commons, facing a vote of no confidence over a party donation seems a bit of an extreme. Can't comment on the rest of how Wales has been run as tbh, I have no idea!

Didn't the Tories take money from the Russians too, or something like that?

I can believe it. These are Reform voters and they're gagging to get a bit of proper old school right wing Toryism back. Rishi is no good to them as an entitled one nation type of Tory. Nige is the man to deliver. Well, deliver the promises, but not the votes, probably. Anyway, any good news for Reform means bad news for the Conservative party and therefore good news for the UK.

Sunak has issued an apology for leaving the D-Day commemorations early.
Not great optics but I wouldn't want to see this politicised so we should accept and move on.

I agree, it's a bad look and will do any damage on it's own. No need for anyone to beat Sunak with it as it would just make them look classless IMO. Reports from some saying that he wasn't going to go at all. Not sure I can believe that though as surely even Sunak isn't that oblivious

Can't comment on the rest of how Wales has been run as tbh, I have no idea! It's not just the party donation (although that was the trigger). He was Health Minister during covid, broke the rules more than once and then lied about deleting his whatsapp messages to the inquiry (which is perjury because it is a statutory public inquiry - although no bets are being taken that he will ever be charged with it...) He's not been a good minister (Health or First) and he's not led the party or the government with any confidence or certainty at all which is why three of his own party failed to back him in a vote he should have won...

He went home early to record a political interview. He did, I just don't think there is a need to start outdoing each other here, it's disrespectful and detracts from the events. Bad enough Farage making a photo opportunity of it. The damage has already been done, Labour would be best to concentrate on policy.
