Yep. It’s called making people open their eyes so we never willingly accept a low life like this bloke into the club again.

It was obvious that he'd be divisive - exactly the reason why the man child WAQ shouldn't have hired him. But then the club was his personal plaything and he likes selfies with famous people so that's why the bloke got hired.

He's not the messiah - he has achieved nothing that anyone with a pro licence and a giant League Two budget couldn't do - but he was treated as such, firstly by sad old men who reminisce over 80s hooliganism and wannabe tough nuts in their teens, then by half the fanbase as Eliot Anderson pulled him out of mediocrity, because we're so starved of success as a club that anyone will do as long as we're not sh**e for give minutes.

To me, that is the difference between the "Woke" and the "Gammon". Woke can see the funny side of things when they are presented in such a way.

Well, this is where I bring up the subject of footballers. Far more black footballers representative to the population. Look at the England and French football teams.

Naturally we know it’s a meritocracy and for whatever reason, there are more quality black footballers. It could be genetic, it could be that simply more black lads are interested in it. Either way, I feel no need to “redress the balance”. I don’t care.

Perhaps for whatever reason, there are greater numbers of competent male managers in the market.

GPs are schewed female as is the health service in general. Refuse workers slant male. The top jobs are dominated by males but so are most of the least desirable. Physical, taxing jobs are overwhelmingly male. Grossly higher numbers of men die in workplace accidents. Life expectancy is lower. Health is generally poorer from occupation. What are we doing to address that? Tumbleweeds. It’s just mainly middle class women on twitter wanting a fast track into a job they like if you ask me. My bin men are pale, male and stale but that’s never an issue is it?

My assumption for why there are more men at the top end of most fields are twofold:

- Intelligence is about equal but male intelligence is a far broader curve. Hence both the least and most intelligent tend to tilt male. Doesn’t mean you have outliers, but that’s fairly well estabished.

- women tend to marry across and up in social class. Hence men, for breeding prospects, have to attempt to create a good income to provide for a family and attract a mate. Therefore no matter how much women earn, a man has to earn more to be considered desirable. About half to 60% of men breed and pass their genes on, 85-90% of women do. What does that show? That about half of men are having more than one family, and half never mate.

Everyone knows this deep down. We all know what being wealthy and successful as a man does to your dating life. Men do not generally select partners based on what they earn, but for women it’s a huge part of it. So ironically, it’s women’s preferences in a mate which is motivating men to out earn them. Then when they do, it’s discrimination!

It’s a far deeper topic than “muh men are sexist”.

We are not the problem, we are enjoying our debate but we’ve got people like Bideford demanding the thread is locked or moved just because he doesn’t like it. This thread is 1000% based on Barton our ex manager, if you don’t like it, don’t open it, there are 15 other threads on page 1!

I hold a leadership position at work, I can’t get involved in all conversations because of my role. I have a local pub, I know the majority in it, I choose not to get involved in some conversations like Brexit, I know where it goes.

I suggest some of these snowflakes, PC Reg Hollis grow up and learn in life we have free speech and everyone is entitled to an opinion. I wonder how some of them navigate life, I really do.

If I appear on your list and have made you or anybody else feel bad, then I apologise.
I just want the team to do well and don't care too much who the manager is and certainly won't be blowing smoke or hurling abuse at someone trying to win games for us.

If I had my way this thread would be in General Chat, just putting my opinion out there for people to know where I stand, guess that makes me a woke snowflake, hey ho, I’ve been called far worse in my life, just don’t call me a Daily Mail reader, it’s not Rovers relevant now, nor have I ever been a Barton supporter.
Perhaps some calling people snowflakes and Reg Hollis, should look in the mirror and grow up. Threatening language if you disagree, with someone, discussions are fine but just trying to provocateur others isn’t.
The past can’t be changed ref Barton, he was the Manager appointed by the then owner, end of the day it’s his money and decision.
I will stand by my decision to filter out swear words that I see, so they can’t be used in future, children also read this forum and I for one don’t want to see it.
Since being a mod I have actively done this.
Petty name calling back and forth, it’s pathetic, ten reported posts so far alone on this thread, more than the amount reported in the last three weeks, however I’m shocked there isn’t more.
As for the person asking to meet mods in the Fanzone before the game? I told everyone I was in the Anchor for one….. did annyone message me to talk? No.
I can’t comment on other Mods whereabouts as I don’t follow them about.
I’m not going to comment anymore or pander to the petty games on this thread and ego massage.
