Thanks Aaron - was a great player to watch at the peak of his time here and wish him all the best for the future ( hope we have a sell on clause !! ).
Time is right for club and player for him to move on - at least we have cashed in before his contract is run down.

Going on his last year, IMO he could have been sold for peanuts. Its his hot streak between 22/23 which got us the £750k.

I do worry now that clubs are going to hold us to ransom, making signing any replacement today even more tricky.
Our pursuit of JCH in the summer window was very well publicised and we have only spent a rumoured £300k (on Conteh) of that £1m we were apparently offering to Posh for him plus this £750k we are getting for Collins. Transfer deadline day and the January window in general isn't exactly a good time to be getting value for money anyway, even more so if some of our rivals think we may have £1.5m to spend.

I agree, but if the value’s not there I’m not against us pocketing the cash and spending it in the summer. Maybe get a loan in. It just depends on what we realistically think is achievable this season. Play offs seem a long way off and if we were to get promoted we’d be a million miles away from having a championship ready squad. |

They only need to look at our accounts to see how much money we lose every year, so the idea that what we receive for Aaron is going straight back into the transfer pot is far from the truth. If anything more like to go on sorting out the stadium or just to pay off the debts.
Chris Martin contract extension was more important and that business already done.

Posh haven't played jch because he isn't part of their plans. Hence the poor goal return. If 9 goals is poor hate to know what 3 is?! JCH has 6 goals in 18 league matches, just 13 starts. The 🐐 is still in business, fascinated to see where he ends up. |

Well, if the 750k fee is what we will receive then if we don’t have anyone in the pipeline ready to sign then I’d rather save the cash until the summer rather than spunk it in a desperation signing.
