Lots of justifiable discussion on this topic across various threads, so think it warrants it's own ideas thread. Maybe scdave can take best ones to the board?
Firstly, I was surprised how high the match day tickets are, especially to stand (£26?). East Stand seats seem to be £33 (i pay roughly £19 per game as an ST holder) and then the new stand at £29 for dead rubber games?!
Still, understand with limited capacity, there was little space to move, but Norwich cup prices show what can be done. Ideas please for next season, mini season or games blocks for rest of this should be possible as soon as at 100% capacity.
- Get the kids but especially teen (14-17) prices down for season tickets and especially match day. - 4 for the price of 3 games for all categories? - £20 maximum for standing? (although Thatchers always sold out so need to be creative here to not lose out too much) - instalment plan for season tickets (do we already do this?)

Why is the Thatchers always sold out? It never used to be. I used to just rock up on the day and buy a ticket.

Firstly return prices to that of the opening game of the season against Barnsley, when a adult matchday terrace ticket was £23, because of reduced ground capacity due to the new stands development issues, ticket prices were increased & have as yet not returned. Going forward the main complaints seem to be in the 14-18 category being too expensive, as fans in this age bracket are mostly either at school/ college etc & obviously the onus of the ticket price falls on the parents, some sort of new family ticket may prove to be advantageous. Going back a few years, a discounted rate on a ticket price if bought in advance of a matchday was always popular.

We certainly need to look at this.
How about buy 10 get 12 or 5/6 to attract fans who can't attend all games.
Could be given priority for all ticket games after ST holders.
Certainly need to attract the youngsters as they are the future and too many are attracted to the dark side these days

My first match v's York City With Smash and Grab in the team when promoted. Season ticket for many years in the 2000's
With work, now only available for match days.... Very pricey now.... Unfortunately the match day prices are keeping me away. 🙈

I used to do the direct debit payments for ST, very handy if the cash isn’t there to buy it in one go. Not sure if it’s still an option mind.
Paid 340 for East Terrace ST this season, £14.70 a match. Happy with that, will be enquiring about south stand for next season though. See how much they’ll want for seat behind the goal. Brand new stand or not, surely it can’t be more than the current East Stand ST’s that are situated on/either side of the halfway line.

Season tickets need to be seen as a good deal….. so if you’re paying £339 early bird £369 thereafter (adult ) . 23 games is about £14.75 a game on the early bird….. very reasonable. So to charge £26 on a game by game basis is scandalous. Stand season tickets west & East about £500 ….. £21.75 a game . Again , fairly reasonable. £36 on the day prices 😮 so unless you buy a season ticket you’re gonna get royally shafted.

Be good to hear from the Supporters Director, to get their thoughts on current match day prices.

So just imagine you've moved here for work or uni and you fancy following the local club. What should I do, I can get a seat at the Mem to watch Rovers v Exeter for £36 OR I could save myself £8 and get a seat at the side of the ground and watch the S$£t play Leeds Utd in the league above. Now I'm no Behavioral Economist but I reckon I could have a stab at why we fail to attract much new support

If they want crowds near 12,000 need to charge £20 seats and £10 standing to have a shot at selling a load of season tickets for next season. Especially as the board/MT are seemingly writing off this season halfway through

I am only a programme and 50/50 seller now, and have never met Wael or the new owners. I can have a look and mention them to Helen though.

It’s also interesting that the club decided to scrap the U21 and student price category completely.
