I'd take our league position over there's at the moment! Mr Patterson our previous head of catering, did nothing to improve it in his tenure. In fact from what I remember it went downhill despite big price increases and now he is having the cheek to slag off the club at every opportunity. I hope he enjoys his position at FGR, hardly a place of catering excellence. Fair point

Think you’ll find he got the Fanzone off the ground, then improved it, and after he left, it went to sh** and all the prices went up. Fair enough he got the fanzone up and running. As regards the prices, they were over the top from the start and the rest of the catering including the pies and pasty’s has gone downhill ever since in his tenure as has the hospitality food which has increased its prices out of all proportion and this was in his tenure.

Prices were ok as far as I remember, for punters and those who had a ‘pitch’, unless you’re one of those crying over paying £5 a pint.

The hospitality food in the boxes was rubbish 2 years ago. This year with the hot meal buffet returning it's much much better.

I wonder what Wael makes of all this? After all he owns 40% of the club so must have an interest, financial and otherwise. Is he sitting with his head in his hands, thinking 'what have I done'? Or happily counting his repaid cash without a care in the world? Or maybe even leaking stuff to the press? Possibly not the last one, although stranger things have happened at BRFC. Wasn't Steve Hamer reputed to be a bit leaky? As he's still at games I would say he still cares. He's on X, why don't you ask him. He doesn't need to leak things. People in the football world are talking about us because we are making ourselves look like a right bunch of pricks in our behaviour and dealing with other clubs and agents. Everyone talks and will say good and bad things, there isn't many good things being said currently. I won't ask him on X because it's not something he would talk about. 'I sold the club to a bunch of estate agents and restaurant owners in Kuwait with more cash than knowledge and frankly it's been a total disaster. But at least I've got my money back'. I just wondered what other people thought because Wael is never going to tell us and it's a forum to discuss things.

It seems to be: Inept son of owner and various mates are trying to run the club on the cheap, meddling in things they don't understand and putting various noses out of joint. Sounds just like a lass I used to know. Alternatively they are trying to put the club on an even keel and have upset a few of Wael's associates, who've now decided to try and discredit the owners? The winners will be declared tomorrow if we actually managed to break our transfer fee, something Wael never managed. It was a summary for Mario, young Topper. However, it does seem that this lot couldn't organise a booze up in a brewery, which is another sad reflection of their awful country...alcohol is illegal.

This isn't about winners of being able to buy a player. We're hardly signing Conteh for millions, he's going to be around £375k. I also have never said that the AS don't have any money, it's likely they do, although we don't actually know because no one knows anything about them and they aren't exactly the worlds best communicators. My concerns, which have been echoed by a couple of others are the way they are conducting themselves and how they are running us. - 6 weeks to appoint a manager is too long. - The fall out with Whelan which meant he walked out. - Not paying people. - We have no football recruitment team or scouting network - The JCH saga. - The Conteh saga trying to low ball a release fee - Not supporting MT with back room staff - Finley calling for help for the manager - Other clubs telling us how unprofessional we are in our conduct. - The Kuwaiti academy website that is full of mistakes and fake reviews. These are just the obvious things. It's amateur and incompetence on another level.

We've not had a decent one since Denis, all to greater or lesser extents total pies.

I think we need a reality check, without Owners there are NO football clubs as we know it,why would anyone want to do it, particularly in the lower leagues. Lose your own money Abused by fans Private Lives crawled over Every decision questioned Etc etc Damn sure I wouldn't,not saying we should worship from afar, but come on with anyone on here take it on?

Fair argument but I think the main issue I have is how the owner's son is conducting himself with other clubs owners - you don't take the p*ss on fees & make our club look an embarrassment. It creates a bad atmosphere surrounding our club.

Come on. A low offer isnt taking the p on its own. Part of the process of letting the player know there is interest, negotiation etc Pirate has heard more, whether true or embarrassing I dont know (or care that much), but a low offer is not taking the p*ss
They are learning on the job. Hopefully they do learn, and quick. Comms have been shocking from them, hope they learn soon that has to change soon too.
Owners with money and privilege are always going to be "characters" very few are liked. Its why Wael has been so nice to have at the top.

Problem with lowballing is our club will effectively be that annoying person you get off Facebook marketplace who sends you an “Is this available” then 6 hours later offers you a fraction of the asking price and asks you to deliver when you’ve said it’s collection only. You’re not going to want to do business and if you do you’ll hike up the price considerably against someone else who’s playing ball.

Let's just hope the Conteh deal comes through. I do find it a bit odd, that depending on the narrative or the agenda, paying too much or offering too little is a stick that can be used to beat the club/owners with. People will believe what they want, as generally here we only hear one itk version often with little context. It's exactly the same with supposed debts, whether that be fences or whatever and if you don't jump on the bandwagon you're accepting mediocrity. Hopefully good news today, and despite what some might try to push, the transfer would be positive and a signal of intent.

Of course they do and for whatever reason however we are not overrun with people wanting to own clubs like ours.
