Hopefully nobody else in my family is diagnosed with young on-set dementia so I won’t feel a need to take a break. Thanks got your concern though pal. You’ve said this several times now which I know is true, not one person said anything back with empathy or compassion. First time I've read the actual issue. As someone who has lost a family member to that horrible condition, he has my sympathies.

Can’t think why this place has suddenly become a bit toxic again 🤔 My post along similar lines was deleted ! 😂 Can I suggest a few others of yours too? 😁

Will you be ok hun?! Toxic because blokes like you come and say stuff like this, you will probably win again and the mods will lock it. If anyone gets banned I’d imagine it will be because of their own actions and their own complete lack of self awareness. The mods do a good and fair job on here imo. m Who mentioned banned? I said it would be moved because ex big Barton supporters like Betty, Hooper try and turn it nasty because you don’t like the opinion. I have plenty of self awareness, you’ve come on here talking about how bad it is that a certain poster/posters are back. Jog on mate, this isn’t anti Barton, Scouse, all that, this is demanding better of the owners, we all want a better Bristol Rovers.

Don't be worried much about the old-new posters. In two weeks time they are more likely to delete Theirs accounts again.hehe UTG Hopefully nobody else in my family is diagnosed with young on-set dementia so I won’t feel a need to take a break. Thanks got your concern though pal. Sorry to hear that, health is way more important than anything else. My father in law sadly passed at the age of 44, as he had MND. My wife and her family have a 50/50 chance of getting it. Awful disease. We all get annoyed after a defeat and end up arguing a bit more. We are all passionate fans. I should stay off here for a few days after a game! Sounds like you have had a tough time. Sorry if I can't across a bit heated. I don't mind a debate, try not to get personal though as you don't know what other people are going through. Hope things get better for you away from football and I hope things get better for all of us regarding football😂

Speaking only for myself I can’t see any reason why this thread would be moderated in any way like is being suggested. The previous notes on Barton related posts were because they were creeping into mostly unrelated threads throughout the forum meaning every thread was a Barton thread. This thread is staying well on topic - the only risk is people getting overly personal. If anyone thinks a post has stepped over the line report it and we’ll take a look. However bear with us as there’s a lot of activity today.

Let’s keep it clean.

Without taking in any rumours. The JCH situation was a farce and embarrassing, recruitment of a new manager was a farce, backroom team seems very light but we do finally have a South stand. For me, after getting rid/losing Barton the footballing side of things unfortunately does seem to have gone down the pan somewhat. To me bar the new stand it feels like same old rovers. League 2 to 1 yoyo club. We still have so much to do as a club to even think about the top end of this league let alone the one above. At this rate, we will be bottom half and thankful there are some really bad teams and points deductions this season. I just don't see anything changing without serious signings and it seems we have no plan and are just going to fizzle out into a rubbish season if not worse.
Oh and what was the board stopping mangan bringing belshaw back all about? Weird

Talking football: like many I have been attending games watching the Gas since 1966 and have to admit with retirement on the horizon and what now seems like a shambolic ownership, I am questioning renewing our season tickets, last night reminded of everything that is wrong with this club, here we go again syndrome. I have argued for in favour of the board stating “well they have built a new stand ?” But here we are again rumours running imaginations riot and more questions than answers??? - Who would be a ruddy Gas head 🙄

If we have a clause that we have to play him, or there are penalties in terms of who covers his wage if we don’t - that could explain not allowing the recall?? Pure guesswork trying to find some logic!

For balance - just deleted both sides of the coin. Let’s keep it clean. I’d just like to drop into this that deleting posts is all very well, however the culprits still get to post their disrespectful posts for all to see before being removed. I think the poster should be sanctioned not the post otherwise it’s like a bully insulting someone in front of others thinking they’re clever, and having it erased later. If you see what I mean. For what it’s worth I am disappointed again that these threads turn into a playground fight and that posters feel the need to act up like this, although I totally agree the thread and subject matter needs to be discussed. I think I’ve said it before, but I’ll ask again for posters to be nice, or Mods please moderate. Lots of good Gasheads will stop posting/reading because of the behaviour of a few, many have already stopped and more will follow. Hope this is read with good intentions attached and hope we can have a forum where others feel both comfortable and welcome. 👍🏾

We had 4 of our best players not in the side last night Taylor ( just 10 mins) , Wilson , Martin & Grant ward. Take your 4 best players out of any side and they’d probably struggle. The goal keeper hasn’t been a step up from Belshaw and Collins\Brown have been pretty disappointing.
We desperately need to sign a goal scoring centre forward , and a new keeper imo . Things are looking a bit grim but with a few of our injured players back and a signing or two I’m sure things will look a lot brighter.

Especially with a key position like a keeper

I understand what less tolerant mod is here for. Thanks Excellent, then we understand each other and you'll play nicely with everyone. You forgot about question mark at the end of your sentence.

On the pitch I agree with you that we will improve when these players come back, if they can stay fit. My biggest issue is with off the pitch stuff.

I have met both of the AS, albeit breifly, but had no personal dealings about this with the AS directly. Firstly, I always dealt with Tom, and I never had any issues with Tom. He passed the invoice to the AS, and he sent me a message saying payments to be signed off by them, which is fair. I recieved nothing. So I spoke to Wael, who was most embarassed by it, who spoke to Abullatif and who gave me a reassurance it would be paid. Abullatiff didnt do it Now this really worries me 81. How is it a CEO has to get sign off on payments made from the owners? I understand if it’s spending 500k on a player or 40mn on a new stand but for day to day expenses what’s the point in having a CEO if they can’t even make a simple payment? Talk about clipping TGs wings.

But this runs deeper than a few duff results. But Wilson and Ward records suggest that they will only likely play 20-25 games a season. So why did Barton rely on these players to be first choice starters with no back up? I mean we already have people like Rossiter who cant get out of a wheelchair for more than 5 games and we sign injury laden players like Hunt, Friend and Wilson on top? Ian Atkins never signed a player than hadnt played 30 games or more for 3 seasons in a row. PT inherited that squad and I barely can recall any serious injuries happening in that block period between 05 and 08. Add to that we never signed a striker in August (the board completely messed that up) and then messed up even further by not extending Martins contract early enough. Its a cluster from start to finish in a league which is the weakest in years.
