For balance - just deleted both sides of the coin. Let’s keep it clean. I’d just like to drop into this that deleting posts is all very well, however the culprits still get to post their disrespectful posts for all to see before being removed. I think the poster should be sanctioned not the post otherwise it’s like a bully insulting someone in front of others thinking they’re clever, and having it erased later. If you see what I mean. For what it’s worth I am disappointed again that these threads turn into a playground fight and that posters feel the need to act up like this, although I totally agree the thread and subject matter needs to be discussed. I think I’ve said it before, but I’ll ask again for posters to be nice, or Mods please moderate. Lots of good Gasheads will stop posting/reading because of the behaviour of a few, many have already stopped and more will follow. Hope this is read with good intentions attached and hope we can have a forum where others feel both comfortable and welcome. 👍🏾 The post is all about wanting better for our club, the fans and the manager. Nothing to do with Barton, one poster left the forum due to personal reasons with an ill family member. Eric and Betty have come on here negatively saying certain posters are back, posters who care about the club in the hope the new owners read it (they read the forum). We all want a better Rovers 👍 |

I forgot to mention, Mangs called back Belshaw who was completing the paper work, Cellino Al Saeed stopped it.
Daniel, rumours or are we calling Belshaw a liar now?

We had 4 of our best players not in the side last night Taylor ( just 10 mins) , Wilson , Martin & Grant ward. Take your 4 best players out of any side and they’d probably struggle. The goal keeper hasn’t been a step up from Belshaw and Collins\Brown have been pretty disappointing. We desperately need to sign a goal scoring centre forward , and a new keeper imo . Things are looking a bit grim but with a few of our injured players back and a signing or two I’m sure things will look a lot brighter. I agree to a point. But Wilson and Ward records suggest that they will only likely play 20-25 games a season. So why did Barton rely on these players to be first choice starters with no back up? I mean we already have people like Rossiter who cant get out of a wheelchair for more than 5 games and we sign injury laden players like Hunt, Friend and Wilson on top? Ian Atkins never signed a player than hadnt played 30 games or more for 3 seasons in a row. PT inherited that squad and I barely can recall any serious injuries happening in that block period between 05 and 08. Thought Wilson played most games for Plymouth before coming here ? The Friend signing I fully agree…. He’d hardly played for a few seasons before coming here ( if I remember correctly) and at his age it was a really high risk / stupid signing. |

I have to be honest and say I am surprised it’s taken until now for this type of thread to happen.
We had these guys come in 6 months ago as new owners, heard from the dad twice since then and one was a poor interview.
We’ve never had an interview with Abdullatif who’s very hands on at the club, why is this?
We’ve got two board members who people thought were people they weren’t. Remember everyone saying we had an HR expert and a bloke from Goldman Sachs? We don’t. We have the sons uni mates
It’s a disgrace we’ve never even had a profile on these people put on the club website. They’re complete unknowns.
Roadman , will confirm that I have said since day one I wasn’t totally sold on these people and I found it really odd people weren’t asking more questions.
People might come on and tell me that it’s “their” club as owners and that we have no business knowing these things. I’d disagree, pretty soon the begging letters will be out for season tickets and they’ll no doubt have an increase on them.
All we all want is the best for the club, stop treating it like a five minute hobby and treat it and us, with some respect.

I also want to add there are a lot people on here with personal grievances with each other.
Without naming names I've watched people get attacked time and time again without any relevance to the topic of the thread being discussed.
Then mods wonder why so many of us avoid participating in the threads

Regardless of the politics this whole scenario is just like our last relegation season, when a certain Paul Tisdale failed to recruit the striker that everyone including the players knew we needed to have any hope of staying up. Failure to secure at least one new midfielder and a striker Martin or whoever will leave us in grave danger of going down. Even if we do sign the aforementioned I still think an experienced central defender is needed to ensure we stay up. The hope that when everyone is fit we have a capable team is a pipedream, Wilson, Ward, Friend, Hunt etc are never going to have a long run of games, their age and injury record will ensure this. Thanks Mr Barton. Look, I am neither a Barton fanboy or a Barton hater, but I’m not sure we can lay our league position exclusively at his feet; he clearly believed that we were going to sign JCH as the “tip of the spear”, and when that failed to happen we were left with a team/squad that is essentially a blunted weapon. If, as appears to be the case, this was intentional on the part of Al Saeed Jr, it was either with the full knowledge and assent of AS Senior, or he needs to get a f*cking grip on his son and let some grown-ups run the club for him. Either way this appears to be on the Al Saeeds. They’re on their way to becoming the Glaziers of the 3rd tier at this rate . . . |

I have met both of the AS, albeit breifly, but had no personal dealings about this with the AS directly. Firstly, I always dealt with Tom, and I never had any issues with Tom. He passed the invoice to the AS, and he sent me a message saying payments to be signed off by them, which is fair. I recieved nothing. So I spoke to Wael, who was most embarassed by it, who spoke to Abullatif and who gave me a reassurance it would be paid. Abullatiff didnt do it Now this really worries me 81. How is it a CEO has to get sign off on payments made from the owners? I understand if it’s spending 500k on a player or 40mn on a new stand but for day to day expenses what’s the point in having a CEO if they can’t even make a simple payment? Talk about clipping TGs wings. Exactly that. My right hand man has a company credit card to pay all suppliers on their demand and if there is anything hes unsure about he wont pay it, ask me first and then we complete it. So the next questions are, if Abdullatif is the man with daily control, why is he so lacklustre in every thing he does and if you are that incompetent or too busy what is it about Tom that if you dont trust him to authorise small payments to suppliers, what is the point in him being at the club? What actually is he doing now? |

Wilson did, but that was his first full season for 3 years and hes only played a full season 4 times in 15 years. His appearance average is 22 games a year. Why would you sign a 34 year old CB on a 2 year deal with a record like that? Friend was signed because he played in the testamonial match and he saked Eddy Jennings for a job! We didnt even scout him properly. |

Theres 8 of us, we act in a majority to prevent the type of nepotism to which we've just been accused of.
