Needs his own thread. Photos and interviews were being done yesterday or he is currently on way down to Bristol to sign for a club record fee according to lots of sources on here and elsewhere. Will be just the tonic we need ahead of tomorrow and, as I have said elsewhere, just the kind of signing we want Rovers to be about. Got a hint of Peterborough about it. Lets hope we have a "Morning Gasheads" soon so we can have something good to talk about and sell those £10 tickets If indeed he is travelling down from Grimsby today then I hope he left early as it's a 5 hour drive and papers need to be registered by midday. |

Seems like a good deal to me £300,000.99p The issue was that as our owners read script from right to left they thought the fee was 99p with a £300k follow on if sold. Shocked when this was pointed out, it took a while to bring the cash over in a suitcase from Kuwait. Allegedly. |

The Grimsby fans on their Fishy Forum seem like a good bunch.
They've been keeping an eye on Gaschat since the Conteh rumours started and find us quite entertaining.
I guess we have gone from optimistic of a play off push and a cup trip to Anfield, to we're in a relegation battle and the owners aren't backing the manager to sign any players, in the space of a week.
I've read differing views on Conteh on their forum. Some say he's a quality player that will go on to play in the Championship or Premier League. Others say he contributes very little, they have better midfielders and they won't miss him.
If there are any Grimsby fans reading this who want to register on Gaschat and share your opinions on Conteh that would be great.
