The Grimsby fans on their Fishy Forum seem like a good bunch. They've been keeping an eye on Gaschat since the Conteh rumours started and find us quite entertaining. I guess we have gone from optimistic of a play off push and a cup trip to Anfield, to we're in a relegation battle and the owners aren't backing the manager to sign any players, in the space of a week. I've read differing views on Conteh on their forum. Some say he's a quality player that will go on to play in the Championship or Premier League. Others say he contributes very little, they have better midfielders and they won't miss him. If there are any Grimsby fans reading this who want to register on Gaschat and share your opinions on Conteh that would be great. We're no different on here in terms of vastly opposing views. The general Grimsby consensus seems to be that he's a very good player for CH/PL potential but doesn't directly impact their games (in terms of goals, assists, creativity etc.). I think we should be expecting a sitting water carrier to help the defence, basically. |

He is only 21 and still gaining experience in the role he plays. I'm sure with greater experience and confidence he will adapt and to other parts of his game. He just needs to be allowed to play the role that suits him best

He just needs to be allowed to play the role that suits him best Elliot Anderson was 19 when he joined Rovers, tore up Div 2, was the best player we have seen at the MEM, and got us promoted. I am sure this fella will settle in and do something similar. |
