Anybody who saw that ridiculous tackle on Rossiter by a dirty MK Dons side would know that it was typical of a Mickey Mouse Cup game where the referee allows ridiculous and dangerous tackles to go unpunished because it is "only a Mickey Mouse Cup game." There were lots of bad tackles that night by MK Dons players and it could have been any player but it was Rossiter. Unfortunately football is a high risk game but in my opinion it is usually the best players who receive the worst tackles. I am sure he would love to be turning out every week if he could. My memory from watching it in front of me on the east terrace was that it was pretty innocuous. I recall he wasn't even tackled, didn't the ball bounce high in front of him ,he raised his leg and that was it

What a lovely bloke you would be to work for! I certainly wouldn't be paying someone who can't work for 15 months. Or at least looking to change the status quo. Wrexham council do 🤣😮🤣

Seemed to jar his knee, studs maybe caught in the ground a bit. He was trying to get it moving on west terrace side but seemed to quickly realise what had happened - looked devastated as he walked straight off down the tunnel.

Last time I saw him was at The Players Golf Club on the practice ground last year getting ready for his pro golf debut. Haven’t heard anything more on how it’s going but he has other business interests to keep himself occupied

Yep,he must be massively frustrated, good enough to play for Liverpool then injury after injury,I can't imagine how that feels.

What a lovely bloke you would be to work for! Fact of life . Perhaps we have some kind of insurance to cover for long term injuries Pretty sure clubs take out wage insurance on all contracted players to some degree or another. As a player we paid a fee for, I would hope Jordy was reasonably well covered. His situation doesn’t sound promising, which first and foremost is devastating for him, but also disappointing for us, as the difference in the side with him in it and not in it last season was stark.

To be fair, I haven’t heard anyone say anything but good things about the way Rossiter conducts himself. Must be an awful thing to have to come to terms with, that everything you ever dreamed of doing might come to an end through no fault of your own. I hope he gets back to playing, whether it be with us or someone else. Clearly a class act at this level when fit. 👏👏👏👏💙

Makes you wonder what kind of injury sidelines you for the best part of two seasons. Always thought ACL was the worst knee injury but advances in medical now you’re back on a pitch in 9 months

Has his finance business and a new baby to keep him occuppied.

Makes you wonder what kind of injury sidelines you for the best part of two seasons. Always thought ACL was the worst knee injury but advances in medical now you’re back on a pitch in 9 months Torn or ruptured Achilles are pretty bad as well. Its not just months recovering from the actual injury itself, but mentally it's horrific. Most Footballers who have fully ruptured their achilles pretty much lose all their acceleration and pace and are never the same. The best example was John Barnes. One of the best wingers I've ever seen incredible acceleration, pace, power, when he ruptured his achilles he completely lost all that, and when he returned he could hardly walk, let alone run.
