Nothing like a Tuesday home game to follow a superb away win & back to back victories.
Coming up against the divisions second bottom outfit should be dreamland stuff, but I don’t see it being any stroll.
The word is it’ll be another night of tricky conditions, again versus League One strugglers (Cheltenham & Exeter previously) and a Fleetwood side buzzing from a very good 3-0 win on the weekend.
Gas to take a Costa Rican inspired 2-0 lead & get pegged back in the second half, bringing on a nervy finale but 3 more huge points in the bag.
Hopefully we bring the noise & send the 50 or so Cod faithful home empty handed.
‘Mon you Blue boysssss!

Wilson plays, we stroll to a calm 2 or 3 nil win Without him and against the tough conditions will be a real battle Hope with Jed in goal and Aguilera magic we can still scrape a 2-1. UTG

Would absolutely love to thump Fleetwood, as I have very little time for them. Played the system for years.
Terrible conditions tonight - think the wind dies down about 7pm which is good but supposed to tip down 😂
Notoriously struggle against crap teams which are struggling, so going for a 2-1 win, late Evo winner.

UTG El Kan is an international, Connolly cost us £100K+ so surely one of them can cope with Fleetwood's strikers? Hopefully at least Wilson or Friend will play to bring some calm to the defence.

Yeah agree we need to see some more consistency from the back up CBs but to date, without Wilson we have generally been poor. Maybe Wilson Crama Baggott today and Connolly Crama Friend on Saturday

Horrible conditions at home to one of the divisions worst teams - just the sort of game we struggle with. I’ll be optimistic and go for 1-1 or maybe even scrape a 2-1 win.

Don't we normally struggle to the lower teams regardless of the conditions? MT needs to some how change the mind set, perhaps so many players potentially making their home debuts will do that tonight?

DH just guesses like any of us? I'd be surprised if Grant starts over Friend/Connolly when he's only just returned from his injury.

I have concerns over all games where I expect us to actually win, seems like the team do too.
Hopefully that's all put to bed tonight and we get the 3 points

Hopefully Wilson plays as I have very little confidence in Grant and even less in Connolly -
I think Wilson plays the first 45 and Gordon comes in for Friend .... if not I would go 4 - 1 - 3 - 2
Ward
Hunt Crama Baggott Gordon
Conteh
Thomas Evans Vale
Brandon
Big Chris
Home Win Vital - I think 3-1

No wind whatsoever here in a street, Somerset (at least not yet) unless it's working its way towards the south west later?

That said, Thomas would just move further forward in your suggestion and make it 3-4-3 anyway. I'd have Baggott in for Friend and hopefully Willo is fit enough to play 60+.

Mildly familiar with Fleetwood as my folks moved up there a while back and are season ticket holders, so I see a few games a season.
They have brought in a lot of new faces under Charlie Adam. 'Boys have finally been replaced with men' is what the old man said when they thumped PV the other night.
IMHO Sarpong-Wiredu is a key player for them. Last few times I've seen them he's the only one who is consistent, focussed and looks comfortable at this level.
Rooney is a talented nutcase who is easily wound-up and constantly gives the officials aggro (which I have seen cost them a penno when the ref got his own back). Give him a few niggles, let the three lemons on the "let's be 'avin some" fruit machine drop into place and enjoy. Though he hasn't been seen in the last two matches - probably suspended again.
Unless Adam has screamed it out of him, the keeper always kicks exactly the same way to the same people - attempting to get the ball to bounce witlessly off either Stockley or Rooney's head. Very easily countered.
In theory we've got the quality to get a fairly comfortable result but it won't be the pushover it would have been a couple of months ago.
