Even the grounds man is getting grief now.
One home defeat and everyone is guilty!
Rovers fans are very reminiscent of the Old Testament God. We are tetchy and ready to be pathologically angry over trifling things.

Thought the pitch looked good given the circumstances. If it had started in the condition it ended it would have been called off. Not because of the way it’s being kept but simply due to the amount of rain. I had to clear a gully which had blocked up when I got home as my patio was turning into a river! Tbf, the pitch has been showing signs of wear for a little while. Watching us play Exeter the other week I actually thought it looked below our usual standards

The training ground pitches are still looking perfect and they supposedly get used most days

Pitch and weather made a big difference last night (we were still sheeeeet)
Still alot better than the mud baths of Twerton and the Mem with the egg chasers sharing with us.

Looked awful tonight, the other team in the city had 3 games on theirs on a single weekend and it’s much better than ours. We had a decent pitch a few seasons ago not sure if we’ve changed groundsman but our pitch is terrible and has been for a while now Can't blame the pitch for how crap the team played We knew what the conditions were going to be like days before, and we didn't adapt our style of play or personnel to deal with it. Same old story when its a night game in poor conditions. I didnt feel like turning up but then I dont get paid to. Some players just didnt fancy it

Does anyone know if the pitch is being covered?
The pitch was in dire straights at the end of the game, and absolutely pi55ing it down tonight, today, tomorrow and now Saturday...
He stunned if it's on!

He stunned if it's on! Forecast for Saturday is mainly dry and sunny intervals, so hopefully it will be on. Fed up with wet Tuesday night matches!

I didn’t think the ground staff did a very good job on the pitch this season. The area near where I sit in the south west had no grass at all. Hoping for an improvement next season although that seems unlikely with 40 extra games on it next season 🤦♂️

Hoping for an improvement next season although that seems unlikely with 40 extra games on it next season 🤦♂️ Why the 40 extra games? Surprised if the ladies team will play that many games on it. As regards the pitch, I thought it was pretty decent at the end of the season after all the rain on it. Apparently being ripped up this week or next and the top four inches being replaced and seeded. Ready to cut in a few weeks according to MT. He said one pitch had already be done at the quarters last week and the other one this coming week.

Add in away fixtures and the Gas Girls will be playing twice a week all year!!??
