Maybe we should wear red shirts ,adopt the nickname the robins and just not have a nationally recognised club song. We can join Swindle,Chelts and 1982 ltd then. Not sure about the nickname, but red shirts would be a marketing masterstroke.

"Sometimes I have a great notion to jump in the river and drown". We just can't have something that glorifies suicide. The young uns with their ticky toky fun videos are showing us the way. This is what we should sing, it shows the team that we have belief and is lots more encouraging: I was hoping this was sarcasm . . . Rich has this on an endless loop on 8 track on the promotion bus.

Just ditch the IRA song, anyone who signs that is unemployable in my mind or to a real menial job.
I mean why would you sing it, they disbanded decades ago, no threat at all to the UK now, certainly not England, power sharing agreement in NI, incredible we sing it, I’m so embarrassed it’s one of our top 5 songs every week

And what had the IRA ever done to our club? 1974 Bristol bombing. Last bomb in England, 1996 Docklands London. Plenty of terror attacks in UK since then, singing about the IRA when some were not even born when the last bomb was is pathetic.

I specifically mentioned the Fans Director to bring it up, I see he has been online today yet again but never replies to anything. I looked at the Supporters Club website, that appears to be years out of date but doesn’t mention him. This situation with this vile chant needs addressing. Tumbleweed, aka Radio Silence,, feel free to respond as to what you are going to do about it.

Just imagine being a warrant officer in the Army and seeing that one of your old regiments are going to the men!
Getting there an ira (lower case done intentionally) no other words!

Not a sing I've ever joined in with & I'd be prepared to bet most of the North Terrace who sing it weren't born the last time the IRA were active.

English football supporters and their obsession with no surrender to the IRA. 99% haven't a clue what the history involves. I attended a England game at Wembley in the 90s a large percentage of the England fans were anti everything a pretty vile bunch of people. I was supporting England

In the late 60s it was rarely sung, in the early 70s it started to be sung more often but never to the extent it is now. Keep our anthem for the big occasions or that really special performance or fight back. The impact goes if you sing it too often.
