A dreadful idea.
For me it’s a non-starter for a variety of reasons.
What happens if it’s a keeper? Do they get sin binned too?
What about injuries? Players stopping and muscles going cold will lead to issues.
The standard of officiating in the lower leagues is poor. This leads to frustration from players who take it out on the referee. Sort out the reffing and leave the sin bin rubbish the the egg chasers.
For me, it’s about strengthening what we already have. Cynical fouls are yellow cards. Let’s be consistent. Foul and abusive language is a red card. It seems to me that the blue card is being discussed as a result of poor refereeing.

Also, Rugby dealt with footballs new rules by making fouls legal. When the game split, some wanted a game of skill and all the meatheads wanted a game of “grr” Basically, Rugby is a game for footballers who couldn’t play. I can’t express how low my contempt for the game is. So I’m surprised there is any such thing as a foul - what’s that for? Pulling a gun? I know you like to fish by making provocative statements, but this one is also mistaken imo. Rugby now is more like the purer football of the past. Hard tackling, little time wasting, few professional fouls and little feigned injury (my biggest hate and something the British game used to be contemptuous of as something 'foreigners' did). Skill levels in modern football have increased massively but to me the improvements have been soured by the cynicism. I have no time for the Premier League any more and at least we see a bit less of the nonsense in L1, but it's increasing every season. Rugby is a breath of fresh air to me. I much prefer football in principle, but sometimes need a change. It's a more uplifting game these days. Yeah I was fishing a bit to be fair. I agree with you about the PL. I have tried very hard to get into rugby. I like most other team sports. Whatever others get from the game, good luck to them. To me it’s a load of men on steroids, over the top machismo and a really dislikable culture. I mean, you all know I’m not woke but the “boys will be boys” type rugby club antics I’ve witness basically is just “men I would never want to socialise with” At the same time, the supporters sneer at football and footballers when in my experience rugby teams are the worst example of male behaviour. They seem to get a pass because a lot of them went to university and are middle class. Try those antics as a scouse footballer and they’re all over it, rather than laugh it off. I also find the crawling around the ref like you’re a school kid and a teacher a bit vomit inducing. Each to their own, I shoot from the hip on this but I will leave rugger to rugger fans.

Absolute heap of crap. Just like the bloody VAR nonsense. There are more important things to be bothered about, with referees not being able to stick to current rules. Why don't they just leave the game alone? Because the game is constantly evolving I remember people being up in arms about the back pass rule one of the best rules introduced. I think the use of blue cards could have a place in the game there is certainly room for discussion on how and when to apply it The blue card would certainly be useful for time wasting scenarios but the referees would have to be quick in enforcing it though, keepers getting sinned bin for time wasting could be a game changer Personally I like the idea

Also looked like their defender got hit in the body during a goal mouth scramble, lay motionless on the ground and the ref duly obliged and stopped the game ‘believing’ it could be a head injury. Then gave their keeper the ball 😡 Second half Baggott got a whack to the head and went down. The ref allowed play to go on and Burton were able to create a good goalscoring chance. The ref may claim not to have seen it (he should since it occurred in a challenge so wtf else was he watching) but the linesman was right there and they communicate through their headsets - unless the useless dicks are listening to a bit of Chaka Demus and Pliers.

I am in the process of drafting an email to the EFl asking for their views of players feigning injuries in an attempt to deceive the officials, and the referees failure to enforce the 6 second rule for goalkeepers.

The powers that be are not interested in what fans think and have no desire in trying to clamp down on things that wind fans up and risk losing paying customers - namely the constant cheating and gamesmanship that their officials are happy to facilitate.

I know, but I have to get it off my chest. Cheating is ruining this game, and the worst thing is ,it is not being dealt with. That keeper today was an embarrassment to his trade.

The ref clearly saw the Baggott injury as he looked towards him before playing on, perhaps the rules need to be changed and if the ref stops the games the player has to leave the pitch regardless of whether or not he receives treatment from the physio. I don't understand why the goalie was given the ball nor why the ref then promptly gave Burton a free kick near our own penalty area.
