An enjoyable listen , he's obviously got passion as have the players , and lets hope he realy is backed in the summer. If so , good times.
One thing that was buggin me , who did he refer to behind Sheridan when he said ' whats wrong with him? ' just when he was telling us about the speech to the fans.
Had in my mind some guy walking doubled over or something in agony.
Sounded like someone took a fall or something, can see the clip was edited at that point.

Realy enjoyed that interview. Nothing left me scratching my head. Told it like it is. Reduced pressure. Curved fan expectations without patronising. Sounded professional but passionate.

It sounds like MT doesn't like the fans voicing their opinion, if you can't voice your opinion when you've won 2 in 6, off lost back to back at home and then watching your side away and being 2 nil down in 20 minutes when can you.
Though I don't really like the were f'ing sh**, not fit to wear the shirt sort of chants. Its no way of supporting your side during a game. A bit embarrassing really.
I don't know why MT has to keep referring to the side as weak. They are all professional and paid to do a job, Win football matches. Just like any of us are paid to do our jobs, if we don't do it, we get sacked. So saying we already sacked one manager and side are weak, doesn't really wash.
I get the message. But it is a results business.

But it is a results business. He didn't say he didn't like the criticism, he's managing a changing room that seemingly doesn't. The previous manager was a lightening rod for criticism, he would throw a dead cat on the table consistently. What Taylor is doing, ultimately, in a positive way is managing expectations. He's not patronising, he's merely saying things won't get better straight away but stick with us. I don't think that's problematic.

Agree with Chewbacca, and think he's just trying to manage the over-reaction to a couple of poor performances and results. Admittedly we were really poor Saturday, and not any better in the match before, but we're still sitting 10th, and with a huge catalogue of injuries. Taylors been in the job about 2 months, and looking at the match thread last night, it was being said that he's lost the dressing room, will probably walk etc etc, which is absolute nonsense. Looking at the BBC league table and last 5 results, we're actually joint 5th!! I get that people get frustrated and I was watered off Saturday so didn't tune in yesterday, and stick well clear of this site when we lose, as many lose all perspective and it all gets a bit toxic.

That was only for the benefit of the scouse mafia (in the Learpaul slums).

After Garner, Tisdale and Barton I have forgotten what a proper proper manager looks and sounds like. He's not a word smith like JB or Tisdale that baffles you with BS hes just a straight talking bloke. These are the issues, this is how we will sort them, I need a bit of time to sort this mad mess out, just get behind us. Fair play. Spot on and totally agree with you, we also have a decent, humble, respectful and professional manager in charge now. We’ve Got Our Rovers Back.

We still have a winger that attacks women and a pair of Bozos that sanctioned his signing. We're not quite there yet.

M T is like a breath air. He says it how it is, without being abusive, without using the media to slag off his players like the we got rid of. Stay behind him and the team and things will progress.

Regards to MT asking the fans to stick with the players. The atmosphere at the mem has been on a decline for years. Maybe as the average age of those in attendance goes up the atmosphere goes down. So many fans are basically like cardboard cuttots adding nothing apart from there actual attendance at the games.

So many fans are basically like cardboard cuttots adding nothing apart from there actual attendance at the games. Maybe encourage younger fans to attend by attractive pricing ? Apart from that I’ve always found the atmosphere great when we’re challenging, a bit boring when we’re not. Standard.

I think that nobody wants to sing because most songs have been banned now and nobody wants to get done in for offending someone. It’s not very exciting only having Irene to sing. When our atmosphere was best a large chunk of the songs wuld have offended somebody.

Recall the Crewe keeper going off injured at Twerton and the replacement had an afro haircut.'He's got a pineapple on his head' was the chant. At Nuneaton in the fog ,their keeper on loan from Barnsley was red haired and wore a pink top.''Ginger and pink your's avin a laugh' was the humorous chant and was sung with great gusto. At Burton a few years ago we had a brilliant opera singer amongst our ranks. Now he WAS good. At Morecambe once the only chant was ,'Johnny Ward's blue and white Army' which never varied for 90 minutes.

Not one to big up Celtic fans, but when the truly great Andy Goram was playing for Rangers and admitted to mild schizophrenia, some wags came up with "Two Andy Gorams, there's only..."etc.
Great humour from the greatest city in the UK. (Andy laughed about it, by the way) 💙🏴
