Taylor gets his tactics horribly wrong for the third game in a row but at least he changed it this time and it looked better after to be fair. With three central defenders they all seem to leave it to each other as we don’t seem to have a commanding one in there when Taylor isn’t there. Fingers crossed we can get behind them with some through balls and get at them in the 2nd half. UTG Hope he pulls this off but...the players being subbed early is a risky move which can cause unrest in a unhappy dressing room. Especially for a new manager with existing players. Well he did , can’t believe he got it so wrong in the last 3 games from the off with that awful formation and tactics but he turned it around and got us playing like Stevenage after they scored. There’s a reason they’re on the brink of the play offs, they haven’t got better players than us theyve got a manager who’s been there a while and knows how to get a pretty average bunch of players pushing for promotion at this level by playing the kind of football that’s required to do that if you haven’t got one of the best squads.

Not even a foul.. We got nothing the other end. Cards were out without a thought Personally thought it was a foul and a deserved card, also thought the ref done well and let the game flow on the whole. Whilst I mostly agree - the referees we get let the opposition get away with that that 99 times out of 100

Rollercoaster ride… first 25 minutes we were awful ..
Taylor takes away the uncertainty in the defence and we look so much better….
Really battled well Second half … first time in three games but at least evident.
Let’s enjoy tonight - Be nice to each other people …
We go again Saturday !

Great win.
I feared the absolute worst after about 25 minutes, thought it could be an absolute drubbing.
Well done Matt Taylor for changing it straight after Stevenage made it 2-0.
I've criticised his decisions recently, but deserves full praise for his game management for the final 65-70 minutes tonight which completely turned the result around.
Get in Gas!

People who made gross comments about this manager should have the decency now to admit they posted over the top abuse. Why don't you just chill and let the rest of us enjoy a win instead of trying to pick a fight with everyone? I doubt there are any real MT haters just fans frustrated with our last two home performances.

We’ve gotta be pretty much safe now surely? Tbf, this is Rovers - nothing is EVER guaranteed either way until it's mathematical. And even then....

Tale of two halt times Gasheads……..
Barton goes at Stevenage and says he’s resigning unless they sort themselves out and walks out
Taylor goes in and leads his side to a 3-2
Taylor will talk avert the game, let’s see if he mentions Steve Evans weight.

That's more like it! A real battling performance, Conteh absolutely superb. Never a sending off! How can shoulder to shoulder be a yellow!? Ref made some strange decisions. It was a shocking decision from the ref it's not even a foul by Conteh. Massive fightback from us and I believe the first time this season we have comeback and won from conceding first.

Well, it’s 4 o clock in Laos but it was worth getting up! UTG Dear old Laos! What a beautiful country. UTG Beautiful but I spend all my days here sleep deprived. I find it almost impossible to get a good nights Kip in Asia, windows in doors…locals shouting, cockerels…

God forbid if we come back and win 3-2, you'll probably be starting that bloody bus back up 🙈 You can rest easy on that one. Although we could easily win 3-2. Bring it on. Hehe, nice one Rich

That's more like it! A real battling performance, Conteh absolutely superb. Never a sending off! How can shoulder to shoulder be a yellow!? Ref made some strange decisions. Think it was more shoulder to middle of back but pretty certain Brown was shoved off the ball at the other end leading to their attack. A red seemed harsh, if it had been Evans getting one you could understand it. Given the amount of added time you sense the ref wanted Stevenage to score.

You’re having a laugh. We were 16th in the league when he left and from what I remember playing terribly against Stevenage. Just to be clear, I'm saying bring that style of football back, not Barton, since that's a daft argument. Trying to match up against these teams is not helping us because we are small, weak, not physical, scared, second to react, confused and generally sh**. All of our players can pass and move whilst we have a few players who are particularly good at that-Evans, Thomas, Hunt, to name 3. We can't realistically beat kick and run teams by playing kick and run because that's not how our previous manager set the team up. Also, tippy tippy with an occasional dart forward is better than spooning it out of play or giving possession away over and over. Just my opinion. I disagree with most of that to be honest. None of our wins this season have come from us trying to play pretty football. This idea that we’re a passing team capable of playing our way through the lines patiently is a myth. I can’t fathom how people see this do wrong in my opinion. Barton Taylor and Mangans wins all came with us getting the ball in their half quickly then going at teams quickly not patiently passing through. The reason we’re mid table is that far too many times this season we’ve tried to be something we’re not and something that won’t work unless we had the best squad in league 1. Think Burnley. They had the best squad last season and played very pretty football they’re trying it again in the prem and getting smashed whilst Luton who didn’t look anywhere near as good last season are battling their way possibly out of trouble.
