Like others, I am reeling from the news with families being ripped off at Rovers with the family saver being binned.
I would love nothing more than a member of the board to come on here and explain the decision, because it seems to be that it’s a way of making money today and not safeguarding the club’s future. After all, the kids at the memorial stadium on a Saturday afternoon ARE the club’s future.
So what can we do about it? We can all complain to each other about the short-sighted decision from those in charge or we can make our feelings known.
I propose we take action on the 24th of Feb at the home game against Carlisle. We cannot let this decision stand. If you, like me, have children who you take to Rovers, you will know the impact that next season’s prices will have on us. Put simply, my kids won’t be coming any more. How many families will we lose to Ashton Gate? For a neutral, it’s a no/brainer. A better quality of football, in a superior stadium for a better price!
Let’s make ourselves heard at the next home game.

Not picking at all, but what does this protest look like? Will it involve changing no real part of your matchday against Carlisle?

I don’t have young kids but understand your frustration regarding cost of football. Why not copy Reading and throw kids toys on to the pitch to highlight the injustice in the new pricing structure. Utg

The owners have come out and said they want to go for promotion in the next three years. Who do you expect to fund this? We cannot compare ourselves to the Ashton Gate crowd, they lose about £40m a year. It's just lucky they have a multi billionaire owner who is funding those losses (he isn't happy about it mind). I understand everyone's frustration. However, the best protest would be to stay away. Hit them in the pocket.

Just inform the club by email that you or your kids won’t be renewing your season tickets until they lower the prices. That’s what I’ll be doing . I’m all up for a protest ( Gasheads never protest 😂) if someone can come up with a decent idea on how this protest might look ?

The only way they take note is if you don’t buy it or boycott a game.

We have always given all owners an easy ride, much gets talked about but, when it comes to demonstrating then few turn up, just like me with black and gold. Don’t hold your breath. If this were the 82, they know how to apply pressure, at least they used too.

Has anyone nerdy done a price comparison of season tickets across our league and below? I'd be interested to see how our pricing brackets etc compare now moving forward.

I think it's disgraceful. You can stick your season ticket up your arse.

They addressed that quickly.. obviously realised they were taking the water. I think the bar is too expensive and suggest a protest at the bar for the next home game. Blockade the doors so that nobody can get in and everybody bring an 8 pack. This'll learn em.

I'm sorry but that has angered me even more. They still haven't listened. Why isn't there family saver deals for terrace places? Why isn't there a reduced price for the younger children to stand on the terraces? It's still an absolute disgrace. Literally just f*ck off rovers I won't be renewing.

This is Rovers 2024/25 Prices vs the Rest of League One 2023/24. A couple of points, obviously this is the "Cheapest" options for both, many clubs have different brackets for u11, u15, u18 etc. Some will be terrace, some seats. This was before the Family Ticket announcement. Obviously these can change a lot with new ST announcements. It's just an idea of what we're looking at. Edit: No orange bar? Kids go free.

They cannot be compared, not now plus I think the board got big ideas and were unrealistic in players wages and contracts. Local businesses were not affected by the fans but by those running the club. imagine if we had 4 successive relegations, we have melt down after a couple of losses.
