Wilson getting abuse and giving it back to the fans, sorry mate, you’ve had a shocker Sounds like the fans really understood Taylor’s message last week then 🤷♂️ Short on memory

No point in moaning about today but frustrating that when players really needed to stand up and be counted - at least three or four have not.
JW - Looks a little nervy but playing behind Wilson & Crama today not a surprise.
JH - One great cross but the rest of his play has been poor. JW - Absolutely not leading by example TC - Almost waiting to drop the calamity bomb LG - Best of the bunch and decent going forward
LT - Not featured much at all JG - Appalling - Would sub him for Lawrence - HV -Put in a shift but has to go off now SS - Brief moments but nothing else
CM - Getting battered constantly JB - Done ok - trying to make things happen.
Almost feels like Grant and Sinclair know they won’t be here next season - just don’t see the urgency or real care factor.
It is what it is …

This was a really frustrating first half. Rover's passing has been poor, far too many over/under hit passes, balls out wide being hit behind the man, with our wide men having to track back to retrieve the ball. Our movement in attack by players off the ball isn’t fast enough and Northampton have been good at getting men behind the ball and closing down in numbers. With our poor passing and poor movement our attacks break down and go backwards. Northampton look comfortable. Northampton’s passing in the final third by contrast has been accurate and quick. They’ve not had to do too much as we’ve been poor all over the pitch. Big effort needed in the second half. Northampton another side with limited resources but players who are suitable for league 1 in terms of physicality and style of play.

Someone needs to pack grants bags and get him out the club. I’d love to know the last time we won a football match when he started a game Not a nice thing to say but I wish the club would just pay-up his contract and let him go now. Rather see a youngster from the academy out there.

This squad is Weak physically and mentally Taylor is right. At least he can see it and hopefully will sort it in the summer. I honestly believe we’d be in a massive relegation scrap now if Barton hadn’t been sacked. Taylor hasn’t got everything right but he’s done ok with an injury prone squad through the difficult winter months. The voice of reason. Nearly, always agree with your posts and views on the way forward.

Really, why were they 2 points behind us at the start of play today then if they are so well equipped and we are so crap? People seem to forget we are injury ravaged and this is killing us. UTG!

Although we did seem to have a stone wall penalty when it was 1-0.

Sounds like the fans really understood Taylor’s message last week then 🤷♂️ Short on memory I don’t condone it but he’s had a shocker, he’s not leading by example, I don’t see him organising or being a beacon and telling fans to F off doesn’t help either.

To be honest , you can’t play Josh Grant anywhere let alone in the middle of starting to feel for for the bloke, Matt Taylor should start listening or at least start reading this forum, get one of our young guys on and have a run out , just unbelievable to watch a couple of our players

Seen some poor rovers performances in my time but Grant’s time is surely up? Utterly abysmal footballer. Vale doing it all in the middle, Gordon trying with little joy, see also hunt, Sincs and LT. martin anonymous. Disappointing the (almost sold out?) away end were right on the lads backs after 1-0, MT had it right in that Tuesday post match. Have it all to do yet again, another week and no clean sheet for Jed. And strangely he was once on the books at Chelsea.

Grant and Cramas shirts must be led lined the way they've played in the first half.

So if we get a goal back early, it will be game on again.
Are some are these players good enough in long term? Decisions in the summer but in meantime, is a comeback about to begin.
We do surprise ourselves.
Is another surprise going to appear before our very eyes.

I never said we’re so crap. With a fully fit squad we’re a top 10 squad in my opinion, perhaps even top 6 but the problem is we’ll never have a fully fit squad because half of them are either 30+ or injury prone or both. We’ve also played a horrible style of football in around half of our games this season that simply doesn’t work at this level unless you have a top 3 squad and we don’t have that.

Vaughan coming on, not sure for who Vale probably. He was only permitted to play 45 mins apparently.

Was always going to be sloppy in midfield but wish Wilson was at the races. Needed to be strong at the back

So if the answer is Baggott and Vaughan - what on earth is the question ?
