Tough game today against a very physical and direct team. [
Hoping we start with a tough 4-4-2 and keep things calm at the back.
We all know the position regarding absentees but I was encouraged to see both Grant Ward and Harvey Vale looking lively in training so maybe they get to play a part today.
If not … Midfield will be very interesting and a chance for a couple to step up and really show what they can do.
Tight game but I think we can get at least a point.
Northampton 1 - 2 Blue Boys !

Tough game. But feeling more positive than after the news we would be missing our 2 best players from Tuesday
Would take a draw but anything could happen today.
4-4-2 basically no midfield. Expect us to go longer and have lots of players off Martin

Battle of the injuries today, difficult to see if the square pegs in round holes will have a positive influence, and they'll be after us because of recent history going against them.
I expect a physical, gamesmanship like challenge.

Really tough game . Lots saying Conteh and Evan’s 2 games out. Though only 1 game ? But happy to be corrected. 2 yellows I game . 5 bookings 1 game unless he’s had much more than 5 which I suspect is the case .
Anyway I fill positive and believe well will win 0-1 and go marching on .

Conteh has had two yellows in one game before this season (for Grimsby) so this is his second red and so the suspension is two games, not one. I would like to see Hoole in the defensive midfielder slot today, and hope Finley is fit for Carlise. The cobblers midfield is pretty light today due to injury I believe, could be an ugly game where both teams bypass the midfield completely |

The last time we had an area of our team decimated by injuries, we played a makeshift defence including the great Glenn Whelan.
It didn't end well...

Really hard to call this one - both teams missing 10 1st team players. However, our players must take confidence in how they staged that comeback on Tuesday against a much harder team to beat than Northampton, so I'm going for a 1-0 win today. Sinclair to score!

We would be struggling to field a team for the following Carlisle game with two more suspensions. |

Off to the game today, looking forward to it and not expecting too much with our injury crisis affecting our central midfield.
I hope some take this into consideration today if we struggle against a good side

Have to say what a vital player Conteh has already become so shaping up to be a great buy.
Heartened by the fact Northampton are also missing players but it’s a tough place to go at any time.
Head says 1-1 heart say 1-2 so I will go for that with Sinclair hitting the winner

Won’t be getting on the team or managers case if we do get beat today , we truly are down to the bare bones. Just have to stick by them and give the lads our support, from sat behind my desk at work ! A draw would be a great result under the circumstances, come on gas !!!

I have been listening very carefully to Matt Taylor’s press conferences and enjoy his honesty about the present and his future plans.
His commentary after each match is always worth a listen. He is trying to coach little improvements in this squad knowing that he is short on some key capabilities. For this, we will need to wait for the summer. Conteh was a great signing that has improved our capability. Matt might just know the quality players we need.
However, it’s never too early to turn the corner but feel that Tuesday was a turning point for many of us. The team need our support and I’m sure we are now as one as we rebuild our club.
Todays game. I live in hope before every match. I hope for a clean sheet and a two nil win for the gas. This team, clearly buying into this new way, will give it all. Bring it on. Give the lads our support. They deserve this from us.
