No further forward as to before he, so say, took over. Better off before can not trust him as they were only interrested in the uwe site. Money to be made for them then, eg, hotel and retail outlets, they changed the plans and we did not get our permission. Whats to like??? Up the Pirates.

Got to thank Wael for paying the debt and continue to put moneys into the club. Forever grateful for that.
Just bit of a shame we still aren't close to playing in a new ground and really pushing on.

Paying the debt that he was responsible for the majority of? Nobody loses more than WAQ if he had allowed the club to go bust. I’m grateful he did it but no clubs in the football league went pop during Covid. Overall I would give him a C- for his time in charge

god you lot Cheers Wael. We still have a team and club to constantly moan about. Cheers for that. Credit side: Training ground, South Stand, two promotions from L2, capitalised loans. Negative: Couldn’t progress two new stadia, one relegation from L1, some would question his employment of managers. All in all, I'd still have him in credit and appreciate his tenure. A lot depends on whether the new guys he's brought in can deliver the next step wrt Mem development, Quarters upgrade, and genuine Championship contenders.

It’s something to be pleased about as far I can can tell. When he took over we weren’t going to get any more money from Higgs and his board - they didn’t have any more to give from what we know. And we weren’t fending off buyers either. Wael promised much but ultimately for one reason or another they didn’t come to much. However he did stabilise the club, pay off debt and keep us going. He put a lot of money into it and certainly more than I could ever imagine. If those who criticise want to put their vast fortunes into the club then be my guest but until they do I’ll be happy to let others do it.

Some ‘fans’ deserved to have kept Higgs with his failed court case, relegation to the conference and high interest stadium secured wonga loan. I wonder what they’d be doing now on their Saturday afternoons as there probably wouldn’t be a Rovers to watch.

If so and self funding whilst increasing long term revenue it’s surely a far wiser use of credit than chasing an un-winnable court case that put our very existence under threat?

We also have something tangible as a result, which I'd say is better.

Standard practice to take out loans, until stands are fully signed off. If it's not paid off over the next few months, then it's an issue. Every club from Man City to Bristol c**y do this. It provides cover and other stuff, while it's being built. Not the same situation as well the previous owners.

The usual rubbish from gaschat speculators who claim to be in the know. Perhaps they would like to tell us the interest rates rather than keep us wondering?
