Carlisle are on a terrible run. Could they ask for a better opponent to end it?!
I think someone got to the bottom of the suspensions, Evans out again as 10 yellows = 2 match ban, Conteh out again as twice has received 2 yellows in a game? Really need both.
And the crowd will be quiet again.
So we are gonna need Matt (from the stands) and the players to really step up and take what ought to be a comfortable win.
Oh for Taylor, Ward and Finley to be available.
Still will be there, hopeful that Martin's goals can do the biz.

7 losses in a row, surely we can put these away with little trouble?
But then I remember Bolton the other year who hadn’t won for something like 4 months and still managed to take all the points off us😄

I’m like you and had assumed both him and Evans would miss two games. Did I also see Ward in a training clip last week - is he close to selection?

There last 10 away have been W 0 D 1 L 9 . They have claimed 1 point from a possible 30 away from home. I think everyone on this forum regardless of difference will agree if we fail to beat them. We have real issues in our football club.

I'm pretty sure if doesn't matter how red cards you get (by being booked twice) in a season, its always a one game ban. For a second straight red card you get an additional match ban, then another if you get a straight red for the third time etc. Regarding injured players, I think MT said after Northampton that he doesn't think anyone will be back by this weekend. Hopefully one or two can at least make the bench. Having Conteh back and Vale being able to play a full game should also help.

Well that is good news if true! Conteh has quickly established himself as a really important member of the team. A young Ward with a real future ahead of him. More signings like this and I'll be on rich's bus in the summer.
Assume still too early for any other returnees, i'd like to see
------------Ward Hunt Connolly Crama Gordon --------Conteh -----Vale----Brown Thomas--Martin--Sinclair

Don't fancy us at all to be honest. Hope i'm wrong. Carlisle will be scrapping for their lives, the exact type of team we struggle against. We only have Conteh in the middle, with a couple of ringers. Probably take a draw now.

I'm hoping Ward might be available having seen him in training last week. If he is and Conteh isn't suspended I'd go:
----------------Ward----------------
Hunt-------Crama----Baggott-----Vale
Thomas-----Ward-----Conteh---Vaughan
---------------Brown----------------
---------------Martin---------------
You could play Gordon LB and move Vale to LW to replace Vaughan, as that is a bit attacking down the left. Thought Vaughan was one of the few to play well last week though.
I'm really torn over CB as nobody other than Taylor has looked very good.

Both Exeter and Fleetwood were on awful away runs and we just rolled over and lost both games.
Unless there is a radical rethink by Taylor about who truly adds value to this team and who does not and we have some bodies available this will end in tears and the atmosphere at the Mem will be worse than toxic. We still need a minimum of nine points and this simply has to be three of them.....
I would have Wilson, Grant and Sinclair no where near the starting eleven .... Baggott seemed to be settling in at Northampton so give him the LCB spot in a 4-4-2.
Still far from ideal - Taylor / Finley / Ward must surely be back soon - Ward looked good in training worried that the other two could be out for longer still.
Ward
Hunt Crama Baggott Gordon
Thomas Lawrence Conteh Vale
Brown Martin
Bench of ....
Cox Wilson Connolly Hoole Marquis Sinclair Grant Vaughan
Not sure Taylor will drop Wilson though.... Want to see our youngsters coming through but Lawrence role could equally be played by Hoole or even Connolly who did it for 20 minutes last Saturday. Vaughan also looked lively when he came on.

I'm hoping that being 12 points from safety with 14 games left and having lost 4-0 at home on Saturday they won't be up for the fight, but of course if they get the first goal ......

Think Exeter had picked up tbf and Fleetwood had just gone away and won 3-0 the week before. Not excusing anything, just pointing it out. This is exactly the type of game we will lose: At home and expected to win.

If Carlisle require first win in who knows how long, The Gas will almost certainly give them the win.

Hate to admit it but I would be happy with a point on Saturday the teams that are “struggling” always do well against the GAS especially at the Mem we seem to roll over and get our belly’s tickled🤔

If we can't beat Carlisle, assuming Conteh plays, then you do have to wonder where our next win will come from.

4 defeats in our last 5 home games in the league hardly inspires any confidence for me.

If we don't beat Carlisle then we would have collected 3-4 points from Fleetwood Burton Northampton Stevenage Carlisle. That can only be described as a ' horror show ' even by the most positive optimistic and excited Gashead .
