That's a bit rich when you've been unimpressed with Matt Taylor from the second he walked through the door. Because he's not.....you know who. Totally wrong ! I was very open ‘to being impressed ‘ by Matt Taylor mentioned it several times in posts but personally I wasn’t impressed by the way he behaved after the Stevenage match plus I do find him a bit robotic as a ‘personality’ ! however no one can judge him football wise until he has his own team in place all on nxt season now! 💙utg What happened after the Stevenage match? |

Don't fully understand the bit about. It's where I started my football journey. According to Wikipedia,he started as a youth team player at Exeter City. Unless his first match for Grecian youth team was against us. |

Unless his first match for Grecian youth team was against us. He was in our youth set up at the same time as Scott Sinclair. There was a photo of the them together back then, when Friend signed for us this time around. |

Finley has been playing much better since MT took over, so he can get a tune out of an old fiddle. |

We all know what the club intends doing, developing younger players/upgrading the Academy etc, it's whether they are capable of doing it which is the concern. |

We don’t need to hear his every thought during the most important few months of his new career. As topper said, we know the rough plan/idea. Let’s hope he can make it work. |

No but if you were that interested in hearing him speak, or even asking him a question, then there was nothing stopping you from attending, plus the Q&A was covered extensively both on here by fans and also by Bristol Live. Let's be honest if GF did say anything it would only be pulled apart on here anyway, you sense this summer in particularly actions speak louder than mere words. |

No but if you were that interested in hearing him speak, or even asking him a question, then there was nothing stopping you from attending, plus the Q&A was covered extensively both on here by fans and also by Bristol Live. Let's be honest if GF did say anything it would only be pulled apart on here anyway, you sense this summer in particularly actions speak louder than mere words. There was something stopping me from attending, but that is none of your business. I don't see why we can't hear from the Director of Football, like other clubs do through official channels when a crucial appointment is made. But in fairness, communicating effectively isn't one of the clubs biggest strengths (understatement of the year). |

Maybe he and the club feel his role is communicating football matters within the cub and with other clubs and it should be a different mouthpiece that handles media and fan communication? I know the club gets hammered for it’s communication but the more representatives you stick in front of a microphone the more mixed messages can result and slight differences in message delivery can be portrayed as rifts within a club that might not be there. He may see his role as speaking to us lot when he has something to say…or he may get a press officer to vet a statement and they release that. Anyway, hopefully he’s got his hands full working off a list of potential targets to add to the squad…I imagine he’s on page four of that already!
