As a response to a comment on the East stand, I feel 'Meh' at the moment. I have got my season ticket to use for the rest of the season and I did try to renew it this morning, but the process fell over (act of god?).
I don't think we are going down this season, as much as the doom merchants were saying some ridiculous stuff on Saturday. We are safe.
I do feel that if I didn't go to another game this season that I wouldn't be missing to much.
How do you feel about the rest of the season?

Changing a manager mid season is always difficult, we should use the rest of it to see how good our younger players are, and how far away they are too.
This would create more interest as well, as the longer the season goes on there will be less to play for.
So much of the squad will be rebuilt, quite looking forward to the close season, and seeing how serious the board will back Matt and George.

Got my tickets for Leyton Orient on Saturday Me and boy will be spending a long weekend in the smoke, he wants to go see London stadium, Emirates, Stamford Bridge and Fulham ground. After 40 odd years, with football in your blood, it’s now more a case of a day out, bonding with my lad, not too stressed about the result. Of course I want to see us finish the season strong, and we will go again with optimism into another campaign, and on it goes. My boy said to me last night as I booked the tickets, ‘if we win 10 of the last 13 we might still sneak into the play offs….’ Ahhh youth, so wasted on the young. UTG

The same as I am most weeks, looking forward to watching my beloved Gasssss.
Some decent fixtures yet to come at the Mem, with plenty of teams having lots to play for. Sure it’s unfortunate we won’t have anything riding on it ourselves, but it leaves things far from ‘dead rubbers’ in 5 or so matches.
Gas 3-4 Millwall from 2016/17 is one of my fave (regular) Rovers games ever. Weird given that we lost, was still a cracker!

I renewed several Season Tickets this morning. Thought hard about the decision first.
Rest of this season is unusual for Bristol Rovers and the support base.
In recent seasons we have often been hoping to get into the top section or trying to avoid relegation.
The pressure faced in either situation might not deliver enjoyable to watch football.
This season we are in "kit-kat" land.
Not good enough to get promotion and unlikely to drop into the bottom four.
For me, it is a chance to enjoy some pressure free football.
Well. It definitely will be once we have 52 points.
Players will be able to take risks, play confidently and show their true ability.
The manager will be able to try different formations, tactics and combinations. Win-Win.
Sometimes a successful/experimental/risk-taking end of season sets a side up for the next season.
Many clubs who do well in one season have laid the foundations at the end of the previous season.
Because of this I am really looking forward to the next two months.
I also feel that we are already benefiting from the South Stand construction. More to come.
The experimentation with its use, facilities and layout are slowly showing progress.
There is clear evidence of a better feel and atmosphere in and around the ground on match days.
I'm excited about next season and have a positive feeling about the commitment and motives of the owners.
Matt Taylor is a proper football manager and I believe he can build a team that achieves success.
I also anticipate average home crowds next season nearer 10k than the 8k level we have at present.
This South Stand, when teething issues are sorted will bring many more families to watch regularly.
There has been no suitable space in the ground previously for multi-generational groups of spectators.
(N.B. I did not consume a handful of rose-tinted happy pills before posting this.
Just looked back thoughtfully over the last 12 months and appreciated how far we have travelled.
There is much to improve/change/develop but that is the Rovers tradition. Long may it be so.)

When you see clubs like Rochdale & Torquay fighting for their very existence, both teams who we were playing regularly a few seasons back, I’am glad we can go & watch our club without that worry. Even though the seasons is probably tailing off, with a few of our players coming back from injury, I’am looking forward to us putting one over the likes of Derby & Bolton.

Renewed my season ticket today and will miss two more games this season; one due to holiday and one due to it being a Tuesday night. Health issues mean I'll have missed 7, so 16/23 means my ST this season was only just worth it. Next season, am aiming for 20. As for the football, apart from moments of genius like Saturday, Chris Martin's goals, Anthony Evans in general and the emergence of Jed Ward and Kamil Conteh, it's blah blah. Taylor might be a nice bloke and all that, but hopefully he'll make it more fun to watch again next season. UTG and onwards and sideways. 🏴☠️

Whilst I appreciate some who feel a bit meh towards the rest of this season and of course everyone has an opinion etc. etc. But we’re twelfth, which is one of our best positions in League 1 this century. Last season and this we’ve established ourselves in League 1 with no relegation worries and the owners seem to have plans for us. All of which makes the negative views a tad strange. Of course in a relatively weak League 1 I can appreciate those who wished for a better position but it is what it is. A new stand, nearly breaking our transfer record on a very good player who should do well for us before we sell him for a few million (😉), and no relegation worries. All that makes it a very good season with a promise of more to come, imo. For various reasons this season I’ve not seen as many games but those I have travelled to have been occasions which I’ve just tried to enjoy and make a day of it. Apart from the Exeter at home match I’ve been pretty lucky. UTG!

It is interesting that you are factually correct that it should turn out to be one of our best seasons for over 20 years, we all should be jumping up and down signing and dancing. I don't think we are though. Is it social media and the lack of patience that people have these days? Is it the premiership?

Plus we have scored some beautiful goals this season! Understand lack of excitement but a top half, maybe top 10 finish will be as good as it’s been for a while!

I stopped getting a season ticket from 19/20 onwards due to changes in my personal life. I don't regret it one bit tbh although I would have obviously like to have been at the 7-0 game. I would have been a lot more disappointed in the past though, I think once you step away it's hard to go back. It does seem the same old every season. I think until we get to the Championship or have a big team in the cup I'll find it hard to get too excited.

As we are all on a Love in ,can we please stop asking when there is a short shower in Pucklechurch,'Will the game be on?'.Not much fun when I am setting off in a couple of minutes. Yeah! I was already on the bus on the way over from Bath one time (and it always seems to be raining in Saltford)!

Missed the last two home games because I choose to allow other personal engagements take priority, in the past Rovers would have added in with a 200 mile round trip and my 77 year old Father who is not fancying going right now either.
Ultimately, it’s not just the manager and his side who make me go to games. Everything rises and falls on leadership and I don’t believe we have seen any for several years now.
Many got taken in by the Barton PR machine that we were coming for the red half, you don’t have to just be in business like myself to appreciate you need to see solid foundations being built in the background to back up such outlandish claims.
As soon as I saw the FM site video and the statements by both parties, I thought all hot air. We’ve now got talk of us going to the Premiership by the new owner Hussain, latest statements hot air as well. Actions speak louder than any words, also 18 months until more stands are built, see it when believe it stuff.
You can see Reading, Swansea, Cardiff, Hull, Brighton, the managers and fans all believed and saw project ahead and with this momentum hit the promised land. Luton about to start building a new ground, we have to hope this can be us, but they why spend all the money on the Mem to build a Carlisle like stadium?
This club won’t take off until the owners really show us firm actions behind the scenes and the fans and manager and even tea lady believe it. All we keep seeing is blokes like DC and even Barton, run as far as they can until the can’t see anymore hope, you can add Francis and Trollope into this as well.
I’m Meh because I don’t see the owners having real football money, some know I’ve been privy to inside information, away hotel travel cut, the captain publicly calling for the manager to be backed, player deals taking too long to be done, this is all Meh stuff.
Over to the owners, talk talk talk, they need to light the Meh fire.

When have Rovers ever had real football money owners, all we can hope is that they do have a vision to get us to the Championship, or at least progress the club.
At least we have finally got one new stand open, the time line for starting work on the new one seems reasonable and until we've seen the plans we can hardly dismiss it as a Carlisle bodge job. Regardless if we do eventually get a 16,000 capacity ground we can start competing with the top 6 L1 sides.
Problem is next season and the one after could be dead seasons, although Rovers always flatter to deceive, and it wouldn't take much to take us from mid table to top 6 challenging next season.
