The same AFC Bournemouth who I remember begging for money with collection buckets when they were having financial difficulties? Yes, in the Winter Gardens, was there with my nippers. For them, of all PL clubs to object, is shameful. UTG! edit: And it seems many Cherries fan share that embarrassment. The podcast Up The Cherries on YouTube has talked about the fans being embarrassed that AFCB of all clubs oppose it. They do remember their history! Absolutely disgraceful by Bournemouth - how quickly some of them at least forget where they came from and those that helped when times were bad.

No one who is involved in the running of the club is still there. It's why mistakes get repeated and solidarity gets forgotten.

The sooner some of those clubs f*ck off and make their little European super league, the better!

Surprised Forest are also on the list as they are likely to be an EFL club in the next couple of seasons.

They could, but it would be financial self harm as the loan system does benefit both clubs in the transaction and would only harden the attitude of the Premier League clubs on trickle down funding. Would it be financial self harm? Wouldn’t EFL clubs just play their own youngsters a bit more (players they will already be paying the wages for anyway). The downside would be in terms of quality of performance more than financial? I think it would have the impact of worsening already difficult relationships between Premier League and EFL and further restrict the granting of alms from the PL down the pyramid.
I don't know if I'm in the minority, but I'm no longer interested in Premier League football in the way I lapped up the First Division in the 70s,80s and 90s. I don't bother watching Match of the Day any more and my interest in football is only centred around Rovers. Part of the reason for this is that the Premier League product, brand and actions are anathema to the game at our level.
Like some others, I'd probably welcome the breakaway of the biggest clubs to a European Super League, so wannabees like Villa, Wolves, Forest, Palace, West Ham and Bournemouth can suck up the financial reality that the rest of us have to experience. Bournemouth FFS!

We live under a government who want homeless people to lose their tents so that passersby won't be reminded of inequality. Greed has no limits.

I know multi-millionares who with a passion resent paying any tax that goes towards the NHS and state schools because they can easily afford to go private.
Private companies have a legal obligation to make the most money possible for their shareholders. McDonalds don't care if a local cafe goes bust. In fact they would prefer no competition. Likewise the biggest football clubs are a global brand.
The elephant in the room, or should I say the mammoth in the room is that the biggest clubs are in enormous debt. Changes in how people pay to view them online could render them as dinosaurs.

Bournemouth went into administration twice and ended 2008/9 season 4th from bottom of league 2 and now they take this attitude.

There's no memory within the workings of the club of those hardships.

The current people who own and run Bournemouth should know the club's history!

A boycott of premier league loans by all L1 and L2 clubs would be interesting. Probably only way we can hurt the prem clubs a bit. Is it a loss? Not as huge as some think and if the same for all it would be a level playing field AND no more games called off for a Slovakian U19 squad player!
Lets have a look:
Cox - can get as good ourselves or from Champ loan Crama - as above Baggott - Champ anyway Vale - a bit of a loss, but how much of his wages do we pay?! Vaughan - Champ Aguilera - will be Champ!
Only really Anderson has come to us from the Prem and had a real impact. Not sure anyone can claim Quansah did.
Just a thought. Bit of a prisoners dilemma tho. Tempting for one club to back out and get the best loans!

At the end of the day who'll be the big winners when a deal is finally agreed, a mid table L1 club like Rovers or a Championship side like the 82ers, we'll probably still get peanuts compared to them.

I dont know what we pay for loanees (good point about contracts) but do we pay more for prem players on stupid wages (Vale) or do the likes of chelsea let us have them for peanuts? No idea, if the former even more reason to boycott! Our record of loans from the Championship is, IMO, better. Taylor, Connolly, Baggott have all had impacts on loan and there is the option of try before you buy with these too. I'd like us to have 4 or fewer loans next season anyway. Lets get some game time for our own youngsters and use loans more strategically
