Please keep your feet on the floor on the terraces and bums in seats in the stands - not go flying off in crazy directions depending on what results we manage. We are midtable which is what we probably deserve. We aren’t brilliant but neither are we rubbish. Likewise our latest manager and owners. Ranting and raging on here won’t change anything. When calmed down try looking at today’s stats and, along with Lincoln’s Forum (or just the excerpts on here will do) which support the more reasoned (imo) posts that say the difference between the 2 teams today wasn’t that great. It reminded me of a recent home defeat by Charlton (1-5 was it?) when every time they attacked they seemed to score. I was there with two Charlton mates which made it worse but it helped that they said the score flattered them and we weren’t that bad. Nothing went right for us that day either. Evo has been reliable taking penalties, at least his day off didn’t cost us the game. Aguilera looked decent again, hope he can stay fit and help us to a few more points. Conteh put in yet another solid performance - obviously not one of those MT is referring to as too fragile for 3 games in a week. Not terribly happy with Sam’s performance today nor his interview afterwards - sounded too much like excuses coming from the Captain there till he added he wasn’t checking out nor some of the lads. He has stepped up for MT so maybe frustration got to him? MT sounded very frustrated after the game and quite rightly too. He knows what is being said by some groups of ‘fans’ (they are shouting it at him!) when a great deal of his (our) problems are out of his control. The few players he has been able to bring in seem decent to me. Baggott has improved and Aguilera has obvious class, Vaughan is probably just too lightweight for League 1 but he does appear durable so far. Ok for loans and his one purchase in Kamil seems to be a diamond!
On that basis why are some calling for him to be sacked already!!!
The opposite seems the case to me - taking over at a difficult time with a lot of injuries, long and short term, nonsenses like the Trevor Clarke and Belly scenarios, lack of staff, etc he has steadied the ship and all but guaranteed League 1 for next season.
Buying into the hype of this season’s squad being brilliant and we are going up is all very well but did it ever really look like happening?
Cup half full (of Guinness tonight). UTG!

as we saw on tuesday at fleetwood when they started poorly their keeper went down feigning injury so that the team could get sorted out tactically.they stopped the flow of the game to their advantage and looked a different team. why didnt we learn from that what was to stop us using the same tatics id rather do that than lose 5-0 or are we to stupid to learn from others

The same guys saying that it's the last game they will watch this season, not renewing their season are the same that accepts we might get a tarted up Mem with pillars everywhere.
The club needs strong leadership from the top. Not just on the pitch.
But if the fans are happy to accept mediocrity don't be surprised when it filters through to the playing side of things, again.
The owners, TG, MT and GF have a big few months. Need to start seeing and hearing all the right things from the club.

Matt Taylor, " It's a constant battle to get some players up for it, makes a damning statement". We were beaten before a ball was kicked after Lincoln's previous results. The least Finley could have said was sorry but played the "poor me" card instead. He should lead by example and not force the Manager to sub him for a poor performance. I am disappointed in his attitude as Captain.

It was only a couple of weeks ago, that we turned in a really committed performance at Leyton Orient despite being under the cosh for most of the second half, yet today our defensive display was woeful, how Taylor can sort this inconsistency is a tough call. Hopefully with the 2 week break & the return of Wilson & Grant Ward, we should expect an improvement for our next match at Port Vale.

Cards on the table. This is the least worried I’ve ever been after a battering. We’re safe , there will be wholesale changes. There were definite signs of encouragement but also worrying traits that can and should be ironed out. 4 or 5 players are def good enough, 2 or 3 not available are def good enough. 5 good signings and we’re rocking imo.

I see a tough season next year under Taylor and it is a worry 😟 Hard to really judge next season when Taylor has taken over mid season this year. From memory, McGhee and Ward Mk II both looked like Guardiola when they took over mid-season. DC had a shocker. Look how things ended up for them. Trolls was hit and miss until he had a summer and even then he started the next season poorly. Even he who shall remain nameless didn't set the world alight when he took over from Tisdale (nor the first half of the following season). This isn't happy clapping or rose tinted - just saying, next season could go either way

Finley doing the press interview … “ Lot of uncertainty in the Group - Lot of lads out of contract and don’t know what’s happening “ Maybe more accurate to replace uncertainty with sulking ? Can help you there Samuel - Vast vast majority you included will be moving on hopefully ! In an Ideal World our younger lads who are 100 % committed to the club should be getting their chance. I'm not certain who these players are who MT is struggling to motivate but if they want to stay or even get a good move how does giving less than your best help them? Surely you pull out all the stops to win a contract or if you want out then improve your chances of a good move. Talk of banishing some from the training ground suggests there are a few causing trouble and not helping the cause. These guys are earning £2k, £3K or even more a week and if they can't be bothered that's a disgrace.

“I I I, me, me, me.” - RoadyReturns. Tedious. Bang out of order , Roady posts what he genuinely knows and has proved it to be true numerous times , wouldn’t say that was tedious Some don’t like the hearing the truth. When we never had a mid week game, everything was set up and engineered around the two Mercedes Veto’s pulling back in at the Quarters ar 2pm on a Tuesday, even the players living local got used to the Bank Holiday Monday’s most weeks! No doubt in tomorrow being coached how to defend or 9am Tuesday. The apple cart has been well and truly upset. The difference now is Taylor is moving to the area and McAllister has left his son up at Hibs on his own back done here. Wayne Carlisle is local as well, all committed to the club, the Veto days are over. Three managers, one thing remains consistent, an inconsistent squad which has learned bad habits from the start. “I” hope “I” haven’t offended again telling the truth.

Quite a bizarre game imo. I though attacking wise we played quite well. Created plenty of good opportunities, and had Martin scored at 1-0 it would have been a completely different game. Defensively though we were shocking. Crama and baggot were both awful, and i hope they aren’t being considered for permanent contracts. As unfavoured as he is by many, we really miss wilson when he is out. More experienced defenders and goalkeeper have to be top of the shopping list for the summer.
As promising as jed is, i really dont think he is quite ready. A season loan to league 2 as a number 1 would be great for him.

MT keeps changing his pack of cards, whether by choice or due to injury or suspensions, but the results are the same, is there really that many players not motivated, or is he just coming up with excuses to cover his own failings?
What happened to the excuse he used last week when he said we struggled with playing Saturday & Tuesday and we also had two lengthy coach journeys this week to contend with?
Lincoln have shown what they can do with a change of manager, we seem to have gone totally the opposite way. Was MT the totally wrong fit for this group of players?

From what Taylor said the players are getting a few days off which suggests to me back Wednesday at the earliest or even Thursday. Was very surprised to hear him say that irrespective of the 13 days off before the next game.

Taylor & co could live 24/7 at The Quarters but it won't make any difference if the performances don't improve. MT's old club, Rotherham, are now in danger of getting the lowest Championship points total ever, so he was hardly a success in his last job, where once again he and his coaching staff all seemed to lived locally.

I think it’s a time of letting the dust settle, letting everyone reflect on what has just happened in hope some come say sorry or more focused on the job. You look at whole picture, Crama isn’t fighting for a new deal, I am not saying he’s not trying him his job isn’t on the line like someone like Tony Craig was. Did anyone see Bobby Thomas yesterday, incredible player, Quansah against Haaland, some their performance for us were Crama style yesterday. Barton, Mangs and the defensive coach Bond have all seen Connolly as have MT, he’s simply not good enough, I agree, I wouldn’t not start him. The squad is so imbalanced, it’s got unhappy homesick players, when you are winning like in Div2 none of this matters so much, it’s magnified when you are unhappy at work. What was MT supposed to do, say right until the end of the season we will 2pm Tuesday’s for training and I will play golf Monday’s 🤔

Go on there forum, loads saying he should not have been sacked But a lot say MT was out of his depth as well and it might be the case now with us, only time will tell and I’m saying, let’s just give him his first proper window based on Conteh, Baggott and Aquilera (can’t spell!) The club BTW are trying to cancel the Veto finance deals, no one at the club wants them, managers and his team either.

It's hardly a surprise we don't need MPV's to transfer players around but I doubt that's the owners biggest financial worry. What's that recent tweet about them still owing £75,000 for arranging a loan/grant for the new stand all about?
